Did they really pay 150k for a CS:go player in 2015? And I'm guessing http://wiki.teamliquid.net/counterstrike/KQLY was the player that got them kicked out of dreamhack thus losing potential income for Titan
Ironically this guy still streams http://www.twitch.tv/kqly? So obviously Valve don't really care about their game or community so it will always be maligned with wannabe hackers. It's all about the money, heck that 1 million prize money probably paid for by amount of vac bans and people buying game again lol
However I think Titan were naive and it's quite simple really for any team manager when they draw up a contract with any player they stipulate if caught cheating all winnings have to be given back and make it legally binding. It would stop alot of this nonsense that's been going on in the CS scene for years
Even our government have realised that now chucking fraudsters in prison isn't the only solution they also seize money and assets from these people http://www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/police-r...31471.html so does crime pay anymore? Not really :P
they paid 150k for scream, the player with arguably the best aim in cs:go and one who is hugely popular among the scene. a scene where large amounts of money can be made with skins and streaming.
kqly is banned from entering any cs tournament ever again, compare that to what happens to cheaters in quake or ut.
the article about cheating on lan could well be a marketing ploy by a coder, i wouldn't take everything he wrote at face value tbh.
