max tracking speed is specced at 2.7m/s which is easily hit w/ a fast swipe. likely nothing wrong with your mouse technically

WMO has a max tracking speed of about 1.5m/s, and that hasn't stopped cypher and rapha from winning everything.

more like 2m/s, 1.6m/s is where negative accel kicks in, but its doesnt malfunction. but yea good point

Just some settings and mousepad adjustments. I changed mousepads. went from a qck to a hard surface pad instead of cloth and it was $$$ no skip ya'll.

Also run the mouse at 1000dpi. Seems to perform best there for some strange reason. (placebomaybe-eh?)

Actually its similar to what the abyssus has. And i have no issues of that kind with it. So it's just a shit one probably

This mouse is used alot because it is light and small with "perfect" sensor .

Its a crappy build with low max speed sensor, seems like you move your mouse faster then what the average does.

But they have just announced the replacement , which is basically g100s with g303 sensor and buttons .

But expensive, a little heavier , braided shit cable (just change it) .

This g100s replacement will be my new mouse , looks great apart from the small anoyences =p

g100s are 15$ refurbished now so not a giant investment. still I would not recommend that mouse for low sens >45cm/360

i had the same problem: I bought a G100S and when rocket jumping in DM6, I could easily reach max accel of this mouse and the rocket jump would fail.

With Abyssus Mirror Ed, Logitech MX518 Logitech G300, I never had such an issue.

Weird sensor, it's ok probably with high sens, but not with mid-low (I've used to play with 20cm/360 that I believe is low-mid sense)

20cm is more like mid-high ;)

So I can make it skip with mid-high sense.

True, but I have tried some different mats (Roccat Taito, Tecknet XL, Razer Sphex, Qck Mass) and the problem was always there.

So I suppose the problem it's the sensor itself.

g100s' DPI is very different depending on the pad you use, generally if a pad reduces the DPI of a mouse it also reduces malfunction speed.

I got variation of about 150DPI with my g100s on different pads blue pads seem to give me a full 1000dpi or maybe a bit more.

That's true, a lot of people have said the 1000dpi setting is the sweet spot for most mousepads.

No I meant, on some mousepads using 1000dpi I'd get an actual output on different pads from 850-1000dpi depending on the pad I used, blue pads gave me 1000dpi output also the slightly higher LOD and max speed.

This issue is present on other mice, or rather other mice's sensors react similarly depending on the pad you use, razer for example seem to get their suggested values more or less on point or higher on black pads, my xornet 2 gets around 1000dpi even though I've set it to 1200 on my green goliathus.

sensors react very differently to different textures and colours sometimes.

That's why people modified it by putting a g303 sensor inside.

in a CS target practice map (getting used to a new sens) I don't even notice any misfires, pretty much single tap shots.

Yes a 1 percenter of the game who knows every nuance in&out trained 17 years with a faulty mouse till he mastered it so me who's average at best should use bad mice and hope to adapt as well i agree this is solid logic

i think you are correct, why use subpar equipment if you dont have to. if you're hitting the speed limit of the mouse especially, that is not feasible. unfortunate deal breaker.

generally speaking, IMO if you find a mouse and everything is good, except maybe the sensor isn't "the best" or some non catastrophic issue... if the 1%ers are taking games off each other despite strange mice (mostly WMOs admittedly?)... i don't think anyone will be getting much of an advantage at any level.

I've used the g100s for years on a qck and it malfunctions like fuck cause I'm super aggressive with the mouse. Changed to a hard surface mouse pad and boom, perfect.

g100s skips alot for me, wmo 1.1 never skipped for me.

i never hit malfunction speed with g100s, sens is somewhere about 30cm/360, used it on qck, goliathus speed and puretrak talent
