I don't think anything will match the Salmosa Asian Edition in terms of shape/size. If you are not willing to order microswitches and re-solder a new one to fix the clicking issue, you are probably gonna have to adjust to something a bit bigger.

Considering how the Salmosa/Salmosa Asian is usually held, I can suggest these:

Logitech G102 / G203 / G Pro
Logitech G302/303
Zowie ZA13
Razer Abyssus 2014 / Abyssus v2

Some of them may have their own quirks though. Feel free to ask after you've done some research.

On the other hand, I have a Logitech G302 in great shape that you can have for free, but you will have to pay for the 5-10 euro shipping. Let me know if you'd like to have it.

i had similar issue with abyssus after many years of usage and in my situation it wasnt a switch problem, its just a plastic thing thats push on a button got rubbed. i fix it with hot glue, without soldering and shit

Never understood why should you trash a nice mouse when it just needs new microswitches for a few penny.

It's usually not the Omron unit itself, it's the plastic part on the shell that activates the microswitches.

The 100 has a shitty sensor, the rival 300 is the one that you want to get if you want that shape.

I don't know but I've been reading that the g pro and 203 have slightly sloping sides so are harder to grip!?

I want one like my salmosa which is like \_/ so can hold it easily for lift off etc. If it's even slightly /_\ or straight it wont be so easy... I have a Zowie EC1 Evo which is big anyway but those edges are very sloped the wrong way and cant pick it up at all.

The Zowie is brand new and boxed, only used for 5 mins if anyone has anything to swap or wants to buy it.

Only way to really find out is to order it :| G pro is \_/ but a bit bolder and more straight.

Don't worry about the sides of the 203/Pro, going from Salmosa you'll adjust right away. Between those two I suggest the G203, it's a very good mouse. And the performance difference is minor between the Mercury sensor in the 203 versus the 3366 in the Pro.

The Rival 100 is a very good shape but the sensor can feel a little off because of it's attributes and position. SS build quality isn't good with the 100 either. I won't say it's a bad mouse but the 203 is a better choice. It's a shame because that shape is nice.

There is no similar thing to Salmosa AE shape-wise AFAIK, maybe Zowie Mico if you can find one.

I bought quite a few different mice while looking for alternative: Razer Abyssus 3.5G, Abyssus 2014, Krait 2013, Logitech G102, CoolerMaster Master Mouse S and Xornet II to mix it up. Out of all I think the Krait was closest to the Salmosa.

I ended up replacing the microswitches on my Salmosa with D2FC-F-K (50M) and used this (sandpaper basically) to smooth down the bottom surface so I can use Abyssus (or any other) 0.6m mouse feet. Better than new TBH.

I hear the sensor is one of the best, its light, fairly small and two side buttons. Those were really the check boxes I was looking to tick as apparently my xornet 2 I been using is far from great, even though i like it, I been out of the FPS loop a bit too long to really argue so just wanted to get something where I know its not a bad mouse.

I'm a little suspect, but they could have been ex display or something, or from a promo.

He's got 100% feed back and offers 14 day return, so I don't see a problem.

I was going to get the 203 or 403 but someone on ESR said they had 3 fail and they sent him the G Pro for his troubles as the pro is supposed to be their premium product.

I went for it after seeing this review, guy seems to know his stuff, and has quake skills, so that's good enough for me.

I'll let you know if I been skanked. In which case I'll either buy it new for 70 :(, or look into a zowie or ninox vent.

Mouse just arrived minutes before beta!

Its as new, really even the feet still have that ultra thin teflon sheen on them with zero signs of use or micro scratches which you only get with brand new mice.

So order with confidence if this is something that appeals.
Maybe i'll do a mini review this weekend....
