Could you make them in english? I always wondered where is unkind. He was my favorite player, back in WCG2002 his performance was so sick. Always liked his fast flick rails with the low sens and high accel, back then it was so crazy to see :)

I think WCG2002 finals was the peak of Q3 in fame, I saw it on TV back then, I remember. After that Unreal Tournament 2003 came out and Q3 wasnt the king of the hill anymore unfortunately.

Cause it was actually a pretty decent map for TDM back in the day.

In the early days nobody quite knew what maps would be good or bad for TDM, so leagues all made their own unique selections until the poole became more standardised based on popularity. I remember watching DC vs 4Kings on the map chemical reaction back in the first Barrysworld Q3 leagues.

I still think chemical reaction is a good map ;_;

I remember watching a TDM on q3dm12, I think it was included in TMP (tournament map pack or so).

Coincidentally, I know q3dm7 also has a tmp variant, but don't know what the supposed difference is to the stock version (if I go back to my teenage years I remember failing to find any).

on the non-tmp varient Quad spawns above the jumpad in the main room with gargoyle statues (where railgun is) I think red armour is in the lower dungeon. They're the main two changes.

Barrysworld is peak nostalgia. I remember entering there with 200ms being an EU player.

Small anecdote; Polosatiy is the reason ESreality has mandatory account registration for polls.

Back in 2004 there was a "competition" about the Best Gamer of all times, which was played out by pairing gamers in polls and then having the users vote for the winner, who would then go on to the next round and so on...

At the semi-final of this competition, Polosatiy faced against Slayers_Boxer, a famous starcraft player, who the organizers obviously thought should win this competition.
Well, unsuprisingly users at a website dedicated to Quake thought differently.
When Polosatiy was winning, despite all the propaganda attemps from the organizers, they went with the russian conspiracy -route.
First users were forced to registrate account to vote in the polls (untill that point the website had been fully operable without any registration since XSR days), and when Polos was still winning, they just flat out forged the results by blaming that newly registered accounts were voting for him and that they had removed problematic votes from the end result, and Slayers_Boxer was now the winner.

I was one of those newly registered accounts from old users that voted for Polosatiy.

I was looking through those old threads recently actually. There's a lot of them. Quite interesting. This might be the relevant one.

Actually, news of the poll were posted on Cyberfight.org where polos was an admin (I don't think it was posted by him) and a rather large influx of his reader base came to ESR to vote for him in mass.

Clean-up? Looks like most of their classic Quake contents is gone, e.g. links to Ultimate Quake Live Duel Demo Collection and SavageUK which I still have in my browser's history now 404.
