No, the thing is, when i move my arm left to right, the cursor move diagonally. I have to fucking move my elbow to move horizontally. Due to the way I hold my mouse.

I never heard of such a software. Actually I think you may run into problems even if you find one, as there are multiple ways for the game to read the input, and some would bypass such software.

The real question is why you don't simply adjust your brain. When people switch from russian to classic style they somehow have this kind of issue, but the they adjust.

the intellipoint software for my 3.0 enabled me to do exactly this at one point, but I believe it was removed in later intellipoint versions.

No. I hold my mouse really comfortable, and I don't suffer from wrist/shoulder pain, even after several hours of play, therefore there's nothing to correct :)

I had looked into it before, but most solutions are linux-based. Even still, I never saw anything for just a few degrees - mostly just 90/180/etc..

i had the same problem when i used to use the wmo. holding it in a comfortable way meant gripping the mouse at an angle. if i move the mouse by pivoting my wrist, it goes at an off-horizontal direction.

only way i found to fix this was to get a new mouse which catered to my holding "style". not exactly the best solution, but oh well. =/

i think the problem with a software solution is that there's bound to be some mental stigma about how the software is hindering your performance in game. be it true or not. idk i'm just thinking out loud.

I can only think of one possible 'solution'.
That would be to 'frankenmouse' your mouse.

You'd basically mod it (cut it, glue it etc) so the whole PCB with the sensor is at a slightly altered angle.

This happened to me unintendedly when I made some frankenmice 5+ years ago.
I ended up with the sensor slightly misaligned.

In your case, this might exactly have been what you'd have wanted. :)

I don't know what the Abyssus looks like inside. But you'd probably be facing having to purchase a second mouse to make this mod, as you'll end up cutting up the bottom side of it.

Then again, there are many ways to do this. You might get away with not having to buy a second mouse.

And you better get it right the first time, or this will be expensive if you have to do 10 attempts to get the right angle. :p

No I don't think I will franken my mouse, but rather buy a new one.

I used to do this way back with my ms optical and possibly explorer 3.0. If I remember correctly, that feature was part of the normal mouse settings. Maybe someone with such a mouse can check if that's still the case

I don't understand those who mock the OP. This is so easy to see in every mouse that is not a ball mouse.

Carefully position the mouse so that the scrollwheel is perfectly even with the side of your mouse pad (a square). Then use some straight edges to move the mouse perfectly left/right. Watch the screen, the pointer will most likely NOT move perfectly horizontal.

Many mice have thier "top dead center" a little off-center due to how the hand naturally curves when laid on top of it. What the OP is talking about then is that he holds his hand (naturally) a little off from where the mouse thinks most people will hold it.

I think (but an not sure) there are some algorithms built into mice so that as the OP indicates in his diagrams, when you pivot your wrist to move left to right, you are actually drawing an ARC, although the mouse translates this to left/right action. If the OP holds his mouse just a little off, this same ARC will then do exactly as his diagram shows. I know, as I have many mice and a lot of them do that to me because of how I hold my mouse.

Focusing on holding the mouse in the proper orientation works as long as you are focusing on it. When you focus on the screen (shooting, etc) it is very hard to change what your hand/arm naturally do.

OP, trackball drivers (logitech) had the option to set your orientation 2 years ago when I last tried SetPoint with mine. You position it how you like, then orientate up/down. I have not seen mice drivers though that do that.

Unfortunately, there is no software solution that I have ever found. You can mess with mice settings in games etc, but I don't believe you will find what you are looking for, at least I haven't in the games I have poke around in.

I would suggest you set your monitor to the left/right a slight amount but keep your mouse where it is. This is not the best solution, but I have done this in the past. It sort of forces your "center" to shift, which causes your hand to shift as well, but since you did not move your keyboard/mouse, it can sometimes even things out.

For me the best mouse I have found is the mx518 for this. The g9x is ok as well, but a little small.

I can see why you're having problems, most mice are designed with 5 fingers in mind, not 4.

Personally I desperately want a modification where moving the mouse left is more sensitive than moving it right. Can't find even a hint of such software anywhere.

Not at all. It's just the way my arm and wrist are built (and probably everyone else) that I can move the mouse in a certain direction easier. Always wanted a way to correct for this and it must be possible since all software that uses the mouse _must_ know which direction the mouse is moving.

Well since you have a brain (just an assumption) you could just learn how to do it correctly. You can call i software for the brain.

How to do what correctly? Move your arm the same as you (if that is what you are implying)? This is not something that one "does correctly", no more than how 2 people walk is the same. Some walk with toes pointed out, some toes pointed in, some short strides, some long strides, some with a swinging gait, some with a stiff gait. How does one correct what is correct already?

Yes that could be true, but the opposite as well. I am 6'3" tall, with really large hands and fat fingers. I play a little guitar, but I cannot put my hands/fingers in the same positions that my younger brother, who also plays guitar, can. I have had to adapt true, but I can only adapt to a point, at which physically speaking I can go no more. It isn't that one cannot retrain themselves to some degree, but I must say even though we all have the same amount of bones and muscles (for the most part), everyones mechanics do not operate exactly the same.

What the op is talking about is a problem that exist for most people, a lot of people don't notice it, and some people correct it by how they move the mouse.

I would image that rotating the sensor to suit the angle you hold your mouse would fix it.

Angle snap (logitech), drift control (razer), and other companies might have other names for it, are made to try correct linear movement.

Logitech and microsoft are 2 companies that compensate to the fact that humans do not have linear hands, and so when you hold the mouse, you don't hold perfectly linear, most people hold it so its angled a little to the left.

Exactly, i myself noticed that a long time ago and wanted to rotat the sensor manualy inside the mouse but cba doing so for now :)

Angle Snapping wasn't meant for compensating a generaly tilted position of the mouse.

It wasn't invented by some mouse manufacturer either but by a specific sensor manufacturer, Logitech in fact didn't know their mice had it.

It also does nothing when your mouse is more than slightly tilted (>5° or so)

its originally a software to prank someone else by installing it on the victims pc and then the prankster can edit it to invert mouse and rotate its axes fx if you set it rotate to 90 and pushing the mouse forward the cursor will go right

its a very old software but it still works (im using windows 10)
to install the software you have to click on the 1.03 version thats written with blue

then you open the software it will start the troll that means ur mouse will be inverted so up is down but you can turn it f by clicking on the "show hidden icons" right click on the software and then click config

now the first thing you want to do is to uncheck the invert buttons and set rotate to zero and click apply

now you have regained your mouse again and you can now mess around with the rotation until your mouse feeks right

i hope this fixed ur problem

I won't be using it though. If I want to play around with software rotate or anglesnapping I use intercept mouse accel filter. Works pretty well.
