Movies aint about the player skill imo demos will show that. A movie can make even bottom div players look good. Ill be looking for how the movies been put together how well the sound is implemented and any orignal ideas.

I agree with you one that. If I just want to see the skill of the players, I'll rather watch a demo as it has better sound and image quality =)

actually when i watch a quake movie i dont look for "skill". in fact very few movies gave me this feeling of "wow this guy is skilled". its just that its enjoyable. and no, i didnt like the badge since fake frags make it un-interesting.

Standard frag movie IMO.. Demo with music almost. I liked the intro and the intros of each player and all, but action was just like watching a demo, only with music and no ingame sound :/

Zwartz is one hell of a moviemaker.. one of the best quake 3 movie makers out there, but he accidently lost the premierefile when he finished the movie first time... then he had to rush and make it all again, so i think he might have skipped at some places... :o

jesus at using default/hi quality settings and then using a choosing to use a butt ugly purple/bright green tankjr model!?!?

as for frags half the time i couldnt see anything due to a combination of dark blue crosshair, damage flashing, the default size "following" message which blocked like a 1/4 of screen, the huge ass rail trails. and fast forwarding!?!?!

the doom beserk mode was a nice idea but couldnt see most of it ^^^ :(

First of all, I didnt rip the .avis - that was yodaz's job, and yea, I agree, the cfg he used was sore... The result, under the circumstances, is quite alright. I lost the .ppj file twice, first HD crash, then Windows crash, so I had too start the editing all over again! This movie was jinxed from day one.

I really appreciate the nice critisism, but those saying: "i didnt like the soundtrack"... please - I cant fulfill everyones musical preferences!

This movie has been almost finished twice, and then lost - so please forgive me, if it isnt all up too everyones standards! I did my best, again, under the circumstances.

First to say i didnt enjoy this movie fragwise as much as i expected i would. But then again, my expectations might have been a tad high =).
The guy who did this obviously knows his stuff though, very nice effects and cool music.

800x600 is definately too high res for a fragmovie.

It requires so much from the computer that not even a p4 1.5 ghz could play it satisfactory.

and the 14frag run by joyce? was probably the dullest thing I've ever seen in a frag movie :-)

My computer is a 1.2GHz Thunderbird with PC-133 SD-RAM and I have no problems at all.

tried to watch the movie, but it was just too much for my computer.. from what i saw from the first minutes tho, the effects were really cool, the intro and everything.. i'll might try the movie again sometime, when i buy a new computer... 800*600 is waaay to much for a p3-600, even tho i've got a gf3.

sorry, but i think that the download is not really worth for standard frags. The music is also odd it has been used in many other quake vids :(
