As i remember correctly ! denmark didnt automatically qualify for the EURO 1992, they sneaked in the back door after the yugoslav squad was banned !

Yeah right.. and thats why i think its a sensation that they won. Denmark had made a weak qualifying performance and none could ever imagen a team who went to the cup as reservs should crush the world cup finalists from 1990 and win.. thats why i think its really big.

indeed Denmark did not deserve the spot at that European Championship but i guess we kinda proved we should have a spot since we won.

allso it has happend before stuff like that for denmark having to count on some really bad team beating a good team just to get denmark through, and normally when that happens we do really well from that point
if i remember correct some thing like that happend at the last worldcup and we ended up was it nr 8??? after loosing 2-1 or something to brasil who was very lucky.

actually we lost 3-2 against brazil, won of the best matches at that woldcup imo.

Call me biased, but I think the danish newspapers are really going too far. They can flame the norwegian football style all they want, but when they start trashing Norway for being a former "colony"(which is bullshit btw), flaming norwegian girls, norwegian culture etc it just gets ridiculous. They say they hate the norwegian "long-pass" style, but in the last match vs. norway, they had 60 long passes and norway had 62....

That being said, I think 2-2 in the last match was a fair result for both parts, a lucky goal on overtime I'll admit, but I think we played just as good as Denmark so it was deserved. A draw is good enough for us but not for them, seems to me that they're just scared they won't win!

i guess your kinda right Red atleast about the danish newpapers every thing in denmark is "going too far" we flame anything we want, we whine all we want (in papers and tv that is) allso we get naked girls every where in (traffic) and any where else "they" see fit, posters from denmark allways get banned in a number of other countrys and the same goes for danish tv commercials.

i have a really good friend -X-Exec good old UT player from England when he was here in denmark for a few months he was like OMG how can that guy say "wanker" and stuff like that on TV, but thats just the way it is.

On the other hand I for one thinks this is great! we live in a free contry thats for sure and i really like it that way, i dont want some UK or swedish guy telling people what models are showing too much or too litlle for that matter. and just for the record i love both sweden and UK i have been in both places and im going again for sure :) its just that i remember both sweden and UK banning posters we made i think one of them was this really hot danish chick and david beckham or something like that.

one of the problems with the "free cuntry" thing could be that every one have the rights to say what they mean, this does in some cases lead to people like nazi guys and stuff like that have the rights to have meetings and do demonstrations.
