anywayz, i have dealt with many kittens and never been "attacked" so viciously as you describe, but as long as you play with them a lot when they're young, and they have a good time with you, they turn out increidibly tame (well, as tame as a cat can get)

Cats can not be tamed. Unlike dogs, who are attached to their owners, cats get attached to their breeding ground, in this case your house! :)
In the begining make sure she gets a little spankig and knows what she can and can't do. And make sure YOU are the one that feeds her all the time, then you'll see how attached she'll get. I used to have three :)

If it makes u feel any better about the eye, i once had a cigarett (spelling check) directly into my eye. I actually heard the hissing sound of when the cig. and eye touched!

That's why you cut cat's claws just like humans do. (I don't mean removing them by operation). We got lots of cats, and I can tell you it helps. Just go buy the scissors for cats.

Cats can be very well tamed. Mine even aport a stick back when I throw it. And just like with dogs, every sort of cat may it be: persian, russian blue, oriental, siamese, minecoon, etc.. has its own character, so go buy a book about cats. >:)

You can't fully tame kittens, but you can make them a lot more nice and less agressive. She wouldn't have had the eye hurt if she would cut the claws of the kitten, what is a good step to do, if the kitten is hyper-active. Next thing is to do a lot of playing with him, with not allowing it to hit you with claws, this is simply done, by saying loud: STOP/AU! and sligtly tapping its paws with your fingers. It won't hapen from one day to other, it takes some time.

On a side note: Most white cats, are deaf. If somebodies heaving problems with white cats, who act like they're ignoring all you say/yell. Go and make an audio test on it. This has nothing to do with your cat Missy.

Some people prefer castrating the cats, soon as possible to not let their hormons get lose, so they're less agressive.

And try to spare your comments like "... shit above" for your friends. And I did answer how to prevail this, by simply cutting the claws on the cat, a stiff claw + paw wont get you any scars nor more severe injuries.

First of all, if you look just a centimeter higher you will notice that there actually exists some more text, and what do u know!?!? It's actually some advice! And What else do u know...it's actually the same advice u happened to mention!
As for the cig. ... Once again your brain stoped functioning after reading the first word. Obviously it switched on again at the very end. Just to help you out here... Notice the sentence "As for the eye... " Thus CHANGING THE SUBJECT from cats to eyes, in hoping to make the girl feel better....Now how she feels about it is up to her.

Although i will give you credit that you actually said something decent about cats near the end.

You can tame kittens not to scratch as you can tame babies not to cry in the middle of the night. You can't fully tame them, as they're young and they want to play. I'm sometimes also full of scratches and stuff, when they try to climb my trousers <- there comes my advice, to cut the claws, and such things wont happen, even if the cat gets mad, and starts to scratch whatever comes in way. It's not like her cat did that on purpose, I guess it was playing, and saddly hit her eye.

On the other hand, going with a head, near a little kitten, which doesn't quite yet understands what he shouldn't do is not a good idea. So it needs to learn certain things - which it does, from playing ang growing older. Most old cats (pets), do very well know, that you can get hurt by playing with them. So they don't use claws while playing with your fingers or walking over you. If you have some toys it's a different story, they'll try to catch it with claws, since it's like catching food for them, and when you come close with the hand, you could get scratched. If the cat gets scared, it also uses it's claws, or if the cat wants to fight another cat. This is the worst way to stick your hand in (i did that, and the cat bit me right through it). If that happens, the best way to get them apart is, by spraying watter over them, not a bucket, but little drops. But this has nothing to do with the question at all.

yes, well with dogs u HAVE to make it clear, especially with BIG dogs. otherwise they'll just bite u, and ur pretty much stuffed. If they start thinking they're more important than u, they'll stop taking commands, and then ur pretty much stuffed too. What alot of ppl don't understand is that, animals are just that, animals. They're not humans. They understand and feel less then humans. THAT DOES NOT MEAN you have to be mean to them or abuse them, that just means that you have to give them a treat if they've deserved it, that's how u train dogs :). Argh I have scratches all over to go with the eye one! But when she got me in the eye, I was just laying down on the couch (NOT moving). She was on the other couch arm rest, jumped from there to mine (my head was against the couch's armrest) and then she decided it was time to scratch me!

You cut just the tip of it (-) as big as that minus. Wont hurt the cat, but some cats don't like that, so you need to be strong, or you need two persons, one to hold her and one to cut. And you need to cut it more often, since the cat will scratch them back to shape in no time.

Declawing should be illegal all over the world, this is a bad joke.

You should learn them not to use their nails when they touch you, I've had 3 cats and they will learn that in a 1 to 3 months or so. If you stroke the upperside of a kitten's claw she will retract her nails. Ofcourse you should be nice to them too or they will scratch you anyway :)

if you're "honest" and not mean to a cat + keep the rules straight, the cat will respect you, thats how it works with mine. even when i really annoy her by chasing her through the house etc she never gets really aggressive because she knows that i dont hurt her. my brother can hardly get near her because the cat knows he's up to no good :P same for my chair, she loves to scratch it so everytime while sleeping curled up in a ball on it, all relaxed and she tries to scratch it, i throw her out the room with no warning. cats actually learn :P

just be yourself towards the cat, but at that age you cant say the cat is aggressive, it's just testing.
