i think you need to download the vm.pk3 and put it in the spiterbot mod file if you want the latest rc9 version.

0.51 is a tad easier than rc9 .. but, it pulls so crazy surprise rocket jumps on ztn that it never used to, and the OTT movement has been removed. I like , and prefer it. I really do.

it's damn annoying that the spiter are always doing those dumb-ass RJs all over the place. like 2 suicides each game on ztn.

This has nothing to do with your unimportance beating the bot some days earlier. If I had the time to play 10+ games per day like you I would have beaten him quite some time ago.

Wow, a roughly 50% higher score in a 50% longer game, now that surprises me. Whatever, you've got a lousy 2 frag difference and I got 6 frags difference :-P

I played a total of 25 games, yeh thats quite alot, but it's really 25 x 15min = 25/4 = 6 hours and 15 minutes. I played over 4 days = 1.3/1.4 hours a day? Definitely a huge amount, and it still doesn't change that fact that you played 0.51 and I played RC9. Beat the RC9 one, come on.... I'll put some time into the new one tonight when I get home, been sick and visiting gf and shit, laterz

I don't have anything against you at all. But I do think you have a slight touch of arrogance in, if not all your posts, the ones in this thread. Do you have to show people how much you beat that particular bot, or how easy it would be if you took your time? Let some people have their moment of fame.

The story is, me and bootes have been talking about this for awhile, when he told me that I had been playing the wrong version and he challenged me to beat the RC9 0.5 bot, so last last monday I msged him and said I had.

Then I was really sick and stuff so I couldn't upload AND THEN! I come here and I see this!!! It was underhanded and foul!!!

I believe this can only be sorted out in a 1v1 between me and him, but I have no idea how I will be able to do that from south africa

Somehow I enjoy his replies, find them entertaining - and that "arrogance" is an expression of self-confidence and I see no problem in that.

I still don't understand why you are pissed of that I uploaded a demo before you, it's not like I am the first to upload a demo vs spiterbot at that level (ok, haven't found a demo before but I think it's unlikely).

yes, 80-90% lg is about what you can expect from a 100 spite. and it hurts. so does the 70% or so machinegun. damn annoying, it can eat you down from 200 100 straight from a spawn with that mg.

I can give you a demo of 40 to 2 on q3tourney2, but it's version 0.4.

You gotta just spam rockets, guard the lg, pick up all the armour and make sure you stay out of his sight (easy on t2 by lg) and there is no mg ammo on t2, so if he fires 100 bullets, he'll have nothing left, and if you're guarding lg, then all he can get is shotty and rl, and if you have armour and lg, you could 0wn him. It's hard and it requires thinking, but I think it's easier than pt4.

well a friend of mine made 68-0 on T2 with version 0.4...

well that friend of yours did not load the bot in the right way then :P Maybe he was,, like many other just loading it from OSP? since then it's pretty easy to beat this bot ,, but if you read the manual and "Add Smart Bot" from the Spiter Mod then I can assure you that no one beats it with score like 68-0 ,, take my word for it :P

I know quite a few people that will beat the spiterbot v0.4 like that, if I played long enough I could probably get to around 60, but as I said, I'm not very good on t2 and my shaft is pathetic.

The problem with v0.4, is that the bot doesn't use the mg when it spawns really, makes it very easy to spawn frag it, and a 80+ score is possible on t2 if you know your spawns (against a normal bot or a bad player).

0.5 is a different story though, I still think it would be easy to beat it though, if only because of the linearality of the map, infact all the maps, EXCEPT pt4. pt4 you can't run, can't hide, he just flys out of no where.

By the screenshot I can assure you he loaded it the correct way, by using "add smart bot" from the menu :)
in proT4 it's a totally different story though ;-)
