it usually means that one of the files is corupted try reinstalling the game, that same error happened to me and i uninstalled and reinstalled the game and it was fixed. goodluck

Well, I don't know if it's any good to you, but I've seen some posts and know of a couple of other guys who had the same problem, and they were also using a GeForce 4 video card... Good luck!!

This happened on ut2k3 too. Really annoying. latest nvidia drivers too.
