what is that?i even dont know but i think that this isnt some kind of tweak or progamers uses it :O the ";" before that means something like "disable" no?

i dont think that this would have very effect on fps,i experiment with this and it has only effect to loading times or something....

the ; before a line is like "ignore this line",that's why, as you may have noticed the ;) smiley doesnt work in-game

i tried Paths=../Sounds/*.uax replace with ;Paths=../Sounds/*.uax and game crash during starting so it is unuseable =)

what about ambientvolume? you can get rid of many annoying sounds..but also some elevator sounds are switched off :p

lol but ambient volume is important part of game mainly in 1on1s and TDMs...maybe it disable many annoying sound but it also disable many important sound 4 example like evevators,sounds of link and miniguns etc ;)) u cannot play good duels without it :)

lol righti..youre wrong..it disables only elevators sounds afaik and not all of them.. for example deck (if it disables sounds of weapons in your case, smtng is probably wrong ;)...and i dont think that kiLLu cant play duels ;) coz he has ambient=0 ..and he's not alone as i saw

anyone knows the important settings to get rid of useless sounds then (weather or whatever)? and better sound for the important ones (pickups, elevators, etc)

There is no such thing as a professional tweaked ini ^^. Everybody plays with settings that suits them best. So if xtR0X likes to use invert mouse does that mean that if you wanna be pro u have to play with invert mouse ? ;)

Best way is to make your own user.ini and ut2004.ini and change everything that you want / like. Look on the internet what you can change and not.

I was a DUKE3d player and there the mouse "straight" was inverted :D

Tweaking your ini isn't necessarily good in the UT2K4 community, at least in NA. Most lan tournaments only allow settings to be changed within the in-game menus and the console is disabled/not allowed.

cus some can qualify as cheat. for example the FOV zooming.

I dont care other ppl using zoom as far as we are in the same conditions (i mean i also can use zoom)

you cant use fov zooming by default. Fov zooming works on every gun. So if you have a bind on you keybord that chances fov to ie. 50, you can zoom with a shock rifle (so every gun). This can be done with ini tweaking and yet its illigal.

But zooming is allowed on wcg?
I think u can only zoom untill 80 (the minimum value)

I wouldn't call it zoom since you can't change your FOV ingame. I'm also unsure if you're able to change your FOV before the match.
