lol what i mean are not faked frags or whatever, its only about the-way-its-actually-played, by trying to kill someone in-air u fail about 90% of your shots, cause the aircontrol is just too high in UT1, u cant predict a flying player, cause the player can choose for himself where to go in air, and as u know: u cant read minds ;), the way everybody plays who wants to win is: loading up rockets - wait for ur opponent to land - shoot 3 rockets to his feet...ur frags are done with the thought "if i would hit him in-air now - this would be a good vid-szene" at least in most of the cases :) its just less effective trying to hit in-air, u normally dont do that in clanmatches etc, and tho i am wrong, and u always play like that, then its just u having fun with it, and thats just what i wanted to say, thats why there arent many ut-movies like that, cause most frags taken for movies are "real" frags from "real" (clan)matches, where people try to win, not to make hot inair frags in ffa matches :)

I ALWAYS play the same, and I can read minds, and sometimes I have a nice shot. I mean, when i boost somebody into the air with a rocket, I am not gonna wait for him to land or smth, if i can also hit him in the air.
I will make a longer of movie of that frag on zwanz, it was in the start of the match, just a regular match, so it is not acted, just good prediction + a little luck :D

basically you are saying that in UT its impossible to make an airrocket because you cant predict where the opponent will be?

shit, I might have to delete 50 airrockets from the POWAH² movie if there are more people that think like you lol :p

35% airspeed REALLY doesnt make up for your predictability... seems to me you arent really an experienced player and have no experience with airrockets but trust me it is something you learn

oh and try changing your direction when you dodge of a high object within a short time range what you just said is proper bullshit, sorry :)

ut airrox are more difficult to hit than in q3 though, as the rl has a bit of lag, and air movement curve looks steeper, keeps surprising me. but that doesn't mean it's impossible ;)

but the airrocket "lag" can be removed by turning on "Instant rockets" (this does make it impossible to load up rockets)

sure, actually i have 2 keys in my cfg, for switching between instant rockets and sixpack. but there still is a little lag even with instant rockets, if you compare it with q3 however. reminds me of the q2 rocket launcher, where the rocket also seemed to come out of the player instead of out of the rl. carmack solved that by adding 50 ms of prediction to the rocket afaik.

so where is the difference between a "luck" frag and a frag with the intention to look nice?

UT has about no aircontrol (when not wearing boots). it's hard to make airrockets because the rockets are so damn slow, not because of the supposed aircontrol

also since you can load up 6 rockets in ut its usually wiser to fire 4 rockets at his feet when he lands compared to 3 chanse rockets in teh air - nice frags nonetheless :)

Q2 is quite similiar to UT, maybe more than to Q3, so i enjoy a lot UT frags. What comes up to movie lenght, i say better too short than too long. You can always watch it again.

UT99 HAS evolved alot since the 2k3 scene..
guys like madduck, snake, alea, lauwef, (me) are a few of those players who developed DIFFERENT styles. I can say: UT done quake.

The players nowadays make more and more impressive rocket shots!! U will be amazed when watching upcomming movies such as: powah2, [r]etaliation and mayb a few others.

Fantastic movie. But I felt it ended way too fast. Effects were breathtaking, didn't feel at all generic. Very high quality, very nice.

Cant believe how this movie has gotten so much attention..
Editing was fine for a 12 hour piece of work but only few frags were extraordinary, and music wasn't any good either.

[edit] But still I give it an 8 coz it was above ok.
