well what got me playing cpma is vo0's movie. (cpma_done_by_vo0).

This one looks beautifull, has nice tricks etc. but somehow it's a bit boring :) Vo0's movie was action all the time etc.

heh, yeah but if you've been playing cpm you'll see this kinda stuff day in day out...

Can't watch it it is all in two colors per frame, although the colors change throughout the movie from blue to orange to red . Whatever I tied running the software that was with it and still no good. Dont post movies that cant be viewed.

nice movie, concentrated on delivering content and not so much on fancy effects, although the frags weren't really good i think it doesnt really hurt the overall experience. fast, loud and nice tricks :)

Its runs really slow for me, like 15 fps. I tried the wmv codec with mpc (which I normally use anyway) and no good. I couldn't get sound working with mpc either. Any ideas on howto fix?

From the bits I saw it looks really good

I had the same problem trying to run it in WMP, just used BSPlayer instead and it worked fine...

Well, that's your opinion. My opinion is: this mod sucks, except for the netcode. MOD way is way overrated. Looks hard and difficult to play but after 2/3 days you can do most of the stuff. Then its get spammy spammy spammy and more spammy.

A game should be fast-paced, but it should not be brainless action like in this mod.

Very nice movie, the quake 1 part wasn't good tho, and the font was not good as well, and wtf was that "discobeat" thingy in the first part?

variation.... stop whining about music, it's still 60% metal, and imo that's too much either, but u dont hear me bout that too..

some music can be used to make the movie funky and sparkling, or give it a humurous twist. Metal is most of the time used to show the 'hardcoreness of frags'. Aggnog used to make some vid with some basement jaxx song underit. the movie got very spranklin by it imo:)

Another excellent CPMA movie. Not as good as "CPMA done by V00" but how could it be? :)

Took me a couple viewings to notice the keystroke indicators in center screen, during the first half. WTH is this? How is it done? I have wanted a keystroke indicator for forever. The idea is that this will help lamers like me figure out how those amazing movements are done.

Still clear to me that CPMA is the best game no matter which way you look at it.

oh i agree, in actual fact this movie has made me want to play the game even more just to learn some of those cool tricks. the plazma jump on cpm21 was $$$$$ ; DD

Well edited, some very funky tricks. The fragging could have been better but I guess that wasn't the point, and it was good fun seeing some runs instead of air rockets.

Can't help but think about whether CTF or NTF could be more interesting as a promode tournament game, but they're played even less than TDM :p

bahaha..yeah, cpm movement isn't the hardest out there, but it's 5x times harder than osp...If you prefer offensive games, play cpm. If you prefer defensive games, play osp. If you prefer to play defesive/realistic games with money, play d3/cs. I happen to believe most ppl like offensive sports.....

doom 3 will be far from realistic...

and no rail so no sitting from distances.

you gotta agree that carmacks been adding bits of realism in his games after q1 and realism tends to slow games down. no one knows how fast it's going to be, so i'll shut up about it now and wait til august.

its awesome how all the keystrokes are overlaid in sync with the tricks!

i'd love to see that become the norm :)
