I worked for 1.5 years in a multinational company.. i left it a couple of months back because of all the red tape issues.. today i recieved a letter

Subject : Final Settlement
Dear Mr. Masud,
Please find enclosed statement of final settlement of your account indicating Rs.28,685/- receivable from you. Since you were not a confirmed employee, therefore as per Clause 3 of Annexure A of your employment contract you are not elibible for gratuity and employer's share of the provident fund. Please also note that employee's share of your provident fund shall be cleared after receipt of amount due.
You are requested to arrange for the payment mentioned above within 20 days of the receipt of this letter

and i received a phone call telling me that if i ignore this letter they wont ask me for this sum of money and i will have to forget my gratuity and employers share.. The sum they have mentioned is from double deduction of being 15 mins or so late to the office on a period of 1.5 years..
they say.. i have to pay for 35.06 days of work that i havent done at the office .. strange innit..
and well there is no clause in my contract that had anything to warn or say anything about this.. neither was there any warning letters issued to me.
Guess thats how the fucking corporations around this side of the globe do business.. I am seriously considering taking them to court..
