Snus is rarely sold outside of Scandinavia and if it is, it's incredibly expensive. :]
Whenever I go down to austria to skii I bring a shitload of snus and sell it to them over-expensive >:D

I think there is a general suspicion of tobaccos that are consumed orally causing mouth (and pancreatic) cancer. Since it's a relatively new product, there are no real good studies yet to prove or disprove it.

it probably has pretty much the same effect as chewing tobacco, which sounds pretty bad.

anyway, nicotine addiction is a bitch.

It doesn't, not the same kind of tobacco. It has WAY much less carcinogens.

nah, just one of the flaws of the human body.. the addictive urge for different substances, in this case nicotine.. i'd say it's a better choice than smoking for you and the people surrounding you, but it's never a good choice in the beginning :)

In Sweden they have done a dozen of tests on snus and they came to the conclusion that it doesnt give you cancer like when you smoke.
So they removed the Cancer warnings on the package for some years ago.
Altho like you said it does alot of other nasty things to ya.

I'm an ex smoker but these look nice. I still like the odd smoke in the pub on occasion but hate the smoke so these might do well.

Still concerned because they say it removes 'most' harmless substances but which of the most are not removed.

well its similar as the nicotine gum and patches as it gives your body the nicotine which it's addicted to. the problem with the gum and so on is that it's not 100% satisfying to smokers because they wanna have something to hold and suck , hehe.... so the nicstic emulates more of a cigarette:

-nicotine
-holding a cigarette bot
-sucking warm air & letting it out

i think it's mainly intended for ppl that are trying to quit.

by removing most harmless substances, they mean the stuff that ruins your lungs...

if the nicstic holds up to what it promises, then the only reason to use real cigarettes is if you think smoke is cool...anyway i hope it helps ppl that are trying to quit.
