fooKitten watched the movie K-Pax quite a few times now and he's still wondering.. is "Prot" an alien or just a crazy man? Let's have a look.

His eyes. He can see frequencies that no other man can see.. ultraviolet and whatnot "400 angstroms".. so that's one thing.

Something contradicting is how he says he arrived 4 years and 9 months ago.. he claims in the beginning of the movie that he forgot how beautiful it was here etc, as if he just arrived. Wth?

He was not affected by the drug Haldol.
He has a detailed "galactic map" in his head, which could be alien but could also be learned from a textbook, certainly if you are somewhat savant or autistic. "We don't know alot of this star system yet" they say... he astounds the astrophysicians etc! "Where I come from that is common knowledge". He paints up the orbital patterns quite nicely too and it seems to be accurate.

He has his whole planet "figured out" in before hand.. he is very quick with all his answers about it, he never hesitates but that could might aswell just be his psychosis.

And he disappears for a few days.. nobody knows where or how. Took a beam of light out of there?



And one more thing.. 4years and 9 months ago (when he supposedly arrived) something horrible and traumatic happened to him, which is true and that makes his time of arrival a lie... that's when his delusions started?

He talked to a dog. The dog didn't like when they hid her tennisshoe, doesn't like to be snuck up on and has bad hearing on it's left ear. "Wooo" the kids said. Wth?:O

The surveillance camera scambles at the exact time he said he would leave.
Something else contradicting is why he doesn't actually leave, he just stays and ends up in a catatonic state, but apparently this girl (Bess) disappears instead, because he promised her that he could take her with him...

Yawell, whaddya think? Alien or not`? :)
