well, 1on1 might not be that entertaining but i'd be excited about 2on2/4on4 games with players talking in a language i understand. ("wegwegwegweg brummler geh WEG! HAU AB!" love that slinger scene in EC3 vid : D )

Normally I don't complain as shit happens but that was shit that doesn't happen man....

it felt like those 2 never did a shoutcast for a game, they talked the same over and over, like "they are both skilled players, anything can happen at this point" even when vo0 was dominating :/

LOL the server locks up hard in the middle of a voo-fat match and the casters don't even flinch! They act like it's a regularly planed time out or something. Is this a normal thing in pk?? Can you imagine the drama of something like that happening in a high profile Q3 tourney?

tsn didnt release them and vo0 wanted them released ...what more can i say :) apart from the fact he was asking them for permission

TsN sux ass... ...You are also not allowed to record the live stream and host it.. It was the only alternative to the damaged demo function. They said month before that they will release the videos they did recorded from their streams (i think it was after the spain WT Stop).

I'm downloading the pk final now and i can't wait to hear the nvidia adverts.

yeah the only movie I watched was the PK finals and it was astounding at how badly it was casted lol

muted mic, not realizing the game had been started and then feigning excitement when Vo0 was up 5-0... 2 mins after that I was just like fuck that and closed it. :[

The problem with the casters is one second they say that a 10 frag lead is hard to overcome vs VoO, the next they're saying that fatal1ty can come back from the 15 frag lead that VoO has accumulated during the prevoius minute. It's ridiculous. Either VoO can't be come back on, or he can, just pick one :(

If vo0 cant do it, no-one can! Except super man, maybe aqua man too. Also Bill Clinton.

games were pretty good, i was tottally irrtated by shoutcasters aswell though.. everytime there was a nice frag.. or some nice trick they did.. you wouldnt hear about it.. but random frags and maybe a stake hit was WHAM BAM SHAZAM DUDE .. :/ well joe miller tried.. but gabriel david seemed like he was shoutcasting for the first time.. dunno he did better other stops imo this was the worst one ;p

It's not really hate. It's annoyance at the fact that TsN has no friggin clue what they are talking about half the time, suprised they even know who they are casting.

I watched the voo vs fatality upper bracket final. Never watched one of these before and never seen PK before. The game itself doesn't seem so bad except it's hard to follow being that players never stop moving(even waiting for stuff they bounce back and forth). The fact the server crashed in the match was LOL.

Now about the announcers, I really thought they were pretty terrible. They basically either said -

1. "he got the gold armor"
2. "player x has so much armor/health"
3. "weapon x killed player x"

Doesn't that seem a bit retarded? I can see all that stuff on screen myself, why do you have to keep telling me? Especially when they lag and tell you stuff after it happens by a few seconds. I also thought perhaps a fast game like PK would be better served by one person as they won't talk over each other then.

They should be focusing on tactics, and strategy. Giving their opinions on what the player should be doing or trying to do. Why player x is going to do what, etc. They should also share stories(a great time for this would have been when server crashed). It'd also be nice to have more specific knowledge of the game relayed like stats on weapon damage, armor protection rates, spawn times on items, etc.

Does anyone have some links to really good casts like this with video/demos?

idd redeye and carmac would do a much better job :) as for any other casts there are a few on esr somewhere from iTg /me goes to look
