Very good movie, but what obviously drags it down a lot is that too many frags are played for the movie. A bit short on frags and longer sequences, special sequences, and music choice was good but not as good as recent movies released. When the end came I felt this was an incomplete or rushed project, but overall it was well above average.

Nice going guys. Hope you'll release a sequel.

Edit: Is that Children of Bodom or just heavily influenced / exact same genre? Regardless, haven't heard song and band before, and would be pleased if you gave me the name of the band or a link to their homesite.

Edit2: It was a very nice sound. Good track and style.

Seeing I can't edit at all, I thought some of the effects were pretty neat and adds some enjoyable variation to the film as a whole. In general the frags are cool, except the ones done with FWS but then again this is based on my opinion about FWS.

Quality seemed more then good enough to have a good full screen movie. Regarding the music, I would use other music, something that maybe attracts a larger crowd (i.e. remove the metal).

This movie is a good watch first time round, but I doubt it has a good replay value (at least for me based on all aspects of the video).

Nice moveh - I like the humor in it, not doing what most other movies does (oh we're so damn l337 for 10 min.), the NOT excessive use of Deck headshots, and deck in all.
I specially liked the aftertext nice design tho i suspect use of a program for that looks awsome.

Nxt movie i think u should give it two weeks more and work on the soundtracks, make 'em stick with some of the frags, scenes - will give no 2 that extra touch.

The "so hilarisch" came from a cup match where we played vs. Doublestar (nw ctf) and we totally owned them. They started to whine and overally had bad english and 1 of em said "this is so hilarisch!" and we laughed for like 10 minutes. :D

I was trying to find a screenie for that but didn't manage :<

I tried to use different music genres (dance or something in the first fragpart, metal 2nd and rap at the credits) so atleast 1 part would satisfy everyone's needs :P

You're right, it isn't beautiful it's just fucking hard to do. Anyone who have seen q3 movies can go ingame and do basic midair rockets on bots or noobs on public q3dm17, ofcourse not all the time but it's more part of the game than in UT. Ofcourse a really good rocket on a superb player is very impressive to watch in the q3 movies. But what makes the difference, I'm not dissing q3 or ut here, is that in q3, most of the midair rockets are skillful, it was something you intended to do and had the time + a predictable curve. In UT a midair rocket isn't a thing you are going to make in 100 tries if you haven't done it before. For instance, I know several top players that have admit that they have never ever done a midair rocket. They probably never even tried. Cause UT midair rockets is NOT a part of a normal game. It's either under a very good performance vs a top clan or player where the hit is crucial to win, or it's 100% and then I mean 100% luck well atleast 99 in a random game, and the third option is when you play to make it happen. This means playing many games together, probably agressive style (on a normal map) or putting themselves in situations where a midair rocket opportunity is most likely to happen (hello davidm2), which is done in most UT movies today.

Regardless, to understand that a certain UT frag is excellent, you must be very familiar with the game.

Well Acer, I agree on the fact that ppl don't try it etc, and that its mostly useless, only nice looking. But I think that you, me and some other players, dont make airrockets in a normal game with 100% luck. I have done VERY many airrockets, and at a time, you get a feeling for it, and then its not luck anymore :D, well not 100%.. always a little luck

We already discussed this in irc so I won't reply.

But I forgot to write in the last post that you can train yourself to do midair rockets. It's hard, takes effort, doesn't really help your skill as a player, but pays well off with moments of exstatic emotions and often inspires to create a movie about it.

But in some cases it is something that just had to happen, that's not all luck no. HAVE A NICE EVENING !!

I may have done 5 air rockets in my whole ut2k* time.

Whereas I did over 50 on Q3 that I played like 0.1% compared to ut2k*.

That's because ut2k* fights are faster than q3 coz of the dodges and because of the aircontrol in ut2k* which makes possible to dodge rockets while in the air.

There's something we could see more often in videos: midair flak shot. That's skilled and quite impressive. Maybe it's not very easy to see what's going on but we should give it a try.

btw, i didn't dwl the video yet -> i'm on 512k and lazy for waiting so long.

especially flak secondary midairs as seen in this movie, starting at 6:20, very impressive.

players have weird, steeper falling curves in the ut games, making them much harder to hit in midair than in quake.

nice to see movies still made for classic ut.

lets not compare to the perfect game shall we :D~

They suck. Close-distance air rockets or air stakes only. Not very impressive at all.

Give me some high-speed corridor stakes like in Just Quake.

Though felt kind of short, the frags and especially the ridiculous funny scenes just were too ownage. Something new, other than the usual air rocekts and shit :)

nice movie... bout time we seeing some decent UT movies comming out...

Didn't particularily like the 2nd and 4th music...the 3rd one definitely fit in really well with all the blunders that you all made...was a good laugh :)

Really nice quality and editting...only thing about the editting is when you add the numbers beside how many times you hit your opponent...think thats been overdone since the Levi movie and I'm pretty sure the watcher can observe how many times ppl are hit.

It's a great movie to watch...still on my hard drive which will probably sit in my UT movie folder. Pity it wasn't a little bit longer...would've liked to have seen some more CTF teamplay. Thx for the movie.
