I played ra3 some 4 years, and tho i could not beat good players in 1v1, i had better aim than my equvilant in osp :]

I know it's easier to go from osp to ra3 and do fairly well.. But after 2 weeks or so i imagine they'd be on the same level; timing and strats (on a medium-skill level) is only so much to learn, but increasing accurecy to play good in ra3 takes alot of time.

I don't think osp players like to be out-aimed by what they see as cs players with shaft ect, hence the anger >:)

Anyways, would be nice if you wrote about mentioned strangeness.. o_O

150/150 (or smt) with no self/fall dmg is teh best :]

Ra3 is OSP with less stuff, so obviously ra3 players lack the skills in that stuff that the OSP players have.
Also ra3 players are lame, im a ra3 play for example.

Ra/ca was ment for one thing, aim practise, it was never ment as a match mod and doesnt teach you much about tactics etc.

Well, I just downloaded RA3 and played it for the first time.
OMG, waht a bunch of dicks. Played someone called Error Slan, he bitched whined, moaned and kicked the whole time.
I told him I had just started playing RA3 and he started calling me a liar.

In his words, "you OSP have got tactics but no skills"

I then watched him camp on top of the cailling for 30 seconds with the railgun zoomed in.
So RA3 is as I suspected, full of noobs who can't hack anything but spam.

This was the conversation after he kicked me and I rejoined.

Suffice to say I won't be playing anymore. I played for 5 minutes, got kicked about 7 times. It seems to be a haven for those who can't hack OSP or CPMA. I.E. anything with any form of timing or strat.
The best RA3 player is probably no better than a very average OSP player.

yeah and i played osp 1v1 the other day and 90% quit when i rape them with aim, lololol, what whiners and n0bs all osp players are :]

bumping the occasional teammate down the void with rl made up for all you had to put up with playing pub ra3 lol. Its like playing CT on aztec and "unintentionally" blocking your teammate at the big doors haha

You won't see the 'best' or 'good' ra3 players on pub ..that's why a decent osp player will do well in ra3... it is full of not so good players (newbs ?) who play just for fun and without ambitions (that s 90 % of them)

it s like playing on ffa servers..don t think you meet many good players there.

Also ra3 on pub has nothing to do with competitive play, clanwars etc..
Clan wars are much more interesting and involve more "skills" compared to a game on a public server. (that if both teams are offensive, +forward)

But overall, it is true that osp involve more different skills compared to ra3..
ra3 is mostly aim and move.. yet, I still think a good ra3 player can be good in osp too IF he takes the time to adapt...

I don't know how it is in other areas of the world, but west coast, everyone who plays ra3 is obligated to be an asshole.
The rule of thumb for playing ra3 on the west coast would look something like this:

1. callvote map ra3map11 is a must

2. bitch and whine at anybody for whatever reason is in the halls or visor and not at upper

3. If 'hiding' persists for more than one round, callvote kick whoever is 'hiding'

4. Use only rail and lg, rockets are only useful for spam and to bounce yourself from place to place.

5. Whenever you call a vote and it isn't passed, re-call the vote and keep reconnecting/disconnecting until the vote is passed.

6. Whenever you frag a person, proceed to spam 'raped idiot' , 'next lol', or 'owned' say binds.

7. Say you are on the blue team, if you fail to get 3x damage in the first 5 mins, reconnect and join red team.

8. When deciding what team to join there are 2 simple rules to follow, if you are experienced in q3 and ra3, join the team with players you recognize who have also been playing for years. If you know you are bad, and or you are new, join the other team.

9. When someone has enough nerve to state that the teams are stacked, and you are on the so called 'stacked' team, ignore them and continue to play on.

10. And finally if things are not going your way, eg: 2x damage, votes not passing even with reconnecting/disconnecting, and someone frags you and tells you that you are infact 'raped idiot', you exec a little script that overflows the server and crashes it.

and remember, it's just a game have fun!

rule of thumb is if you beat someone in any mod, in any game, you are a "lucky noob camper using various cheats". and that is only because everyone you kill is more leet than you'll ever be somehow, and they show this by /quitting in the middle of the game.

Ra3 only players are newbs, sorry =/ RA s even more newb friendly than FFA, you spawn with al weapons are armour, CA/RA was ment as a aim practise mod, as a clan game it sucks :P just camping crap.

Ra3 players cant handle TDM, just run around crying they cant get a gun or armour, tho ctf players are just as bad :P
