Have you ever compared the score for a piece by DragonForce compared to the repetitive samples and beats found in hip-hop? No? The difference makes me pity the tiny attention span of hip-hop 'artists' (fucking apes) who can't sit for longer than five minutes putting a beat together, and then spending the rest of the time expressing their intellectual and musical inadequacy by writing lyrics in which all they talk about is guns, crack, bitches, sex, drugs, money.

But no, 2Pac stayed in the Bloods, and persisted with his violent attitude, beating up a lone member of the Crips after a boxing match, which ultimately led to his assassination thanks to a drive-by shooting by other Crips. I'm just saying that if you were to compare the score of a piece by DragonForce and a score of a hip-hop piece, you would find virtually no melodic development in hip-hop compared to what there is in melodic speed/power metal (DragonForce's genre). Therefore, due to this lack of melodic development in hip-hop, I personally have trouble calling it music, but that's just me.
Of course others, such as you, may have hip-hop as their genre of choice and will call it music - and I don't mind that. I just get pissed when someone says smtg like 'aah hiphop rocks cuz we listens to such gangsta niggaz who slang dope bitches guns cars so deyre de best an all other music is for pussies.' That's a neanderthal approach.

i have never hearda ny DragonForce, but i can tell you, hiphop is not just making beats by using 2 records or some samples. hiphop producers use keyboards, drums, and sometimes even guitars to create symphonies. and yes, there is melody in hiphop, and yes, there is progression. try comparing a good late 80's record with a good 2005 record. you can clearly see the difference then.
the thing you say last is only a small part of 'hiphop', called gangster rap. not EVERY rapsong is like that. a lot of real emcees (rappers) hate the way people talk about violence and guns, since hiphop started as a way of writing poetry and saying it over a drumbeat. thats just it. the whole 'gangster' stuff is really a part of black american society who come from poverty, and reflect on that. that doesnt mean i like it, tho. im into far more intelligent hiphop, stuff that reflects on the world and life.

Well I think he created this obsession to cut out the terrible experience he had when he was young, going so far he becomes completely mentally unstable due to that trauma and starts to imagine those things.

What I liked most was the difference between both.

The first guy takes the experience somehow like an example. I'm not sure if he would actually be gay if it didn't happen. Although he was masturbating when he saw the coach for the first time.

The other one just locking himself up and creating obsessions to divert his thoughts.

The way how the movie showed us how their life turned out was just the best thing :).
