It's over! After a 5 day marathon they received in total US$ 252.930,64 with the live viewer count rising up to around 50000 viewers and being the number one channel on Twitch for a certain period outclassing everyone else.

"Speed Demos Archive, the home to video game speed runs, is proud to present the third annual speed running marathon: Summer Games Done Quick 2013. It is a 5-day online event (from July 25-29th) to raise money for Doctors Without Borders, streamed live for you to watch!"

Among the played games are Doom 64 (The Absolution), Final Fantasy, Metroid, Sonic The Hedgehog, Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda and many more. In front of a live audience. Have you seen the Doom 64 speedrun on Watch Me Die difficulty? The run time was 1:15, check the VOD. It has been watched by ~30000 viewers live.

We are very proud to announce that we will be running the tournaments section of the BYOC at this years QuakeCon. We will be bringing you a ton of different Quakelive game types to compete in and of course we will be running the QuakeCon BYOC Quake Live Open Duel competition. Anyone who is attending will be able to sign up for any and all events that we host in the BYOC. Prizing will be offered by our main sponsor partner RAZER.

We have worked very hard at featuring some new games as well as many other popular titles that everyone of all ages enjoys to play. These featured games will also have some of the events streamed live and we will also have a main stage with ten laptops for finalists to battle for top spot on.


We will also be running events for: SC2, LoL, Urban Terror, DOTA2, and CSGO. These are the main games that we have plans to run events for but as you all know there is alot more that ends up going on at QCON once you get there so feel free to come say hello to all of us at our booth in the BYOC.

The last Summer Cup before Quakecon, we present to you, FACEIT Sunday Summer Cup #4!

The FACEIT Summer Season will be played each Sunday for the coming month, where 128 players can join and play for $125, as well as points to qualify them for the Finale.

You can already sign-up for the tournament at this moment. Check-ins will open at 07:00 CDT, with the cup starting at 08:00 CDT.

This Sunday (28 July) will be the third Sunday Summer Season cup. It will be brought to you by United Kingdom Daniel "ddk" Kapadia and Portugal Bruno "ins" Pereira on United Kingdom FACEIT TV. The stream will go live at 08:30 CDT.


You can sign up for the Sunday Summer North American Cup #4 already, which will start at 13:00 CDT.

With QuakeCon 2013 coming closer and closer, FACEIT will warm you up with some Clan Arena 3 versus 3 action! Tonight the final team for our Finale on Saturday 27 July will be determined.

In yesterday's Road to QuakeCon Clan Arena cup you could see dem0n, gohann and zsx taking the win under the noses of f1sted with a strong performance, making them the third team to qualify.

The final team will be decided tonight. Ash and winz have selected their teams. The Russian is joined by none other than Cypher, and a yet to be determined player. Winz has selected his French compatriots Guismo and fishbone.

The final two teams are faces with jwzr, ph and visser, and nat with baran3k, b0rky and pixion.

Firefall is a new Free-to-Play-Shooter by Red 5 Studios. It's a thrilling mix of elements you know from shooters: MMOs, an open world to explore with quests; and PvP, which makes Firefall an eSports title. You can download Firefall for free!

National ESL is going to host regular tournaments for all Firefall players. Starting on August 4, the Go4Firefall tournament series include weekly cups with $1,000 in prize money and the chance to qualify for the monthly final, which gives you another $5,000 to win!

That's a Doom-themed Quake Live Fragmovie, only in 'Free For All' mode.

I'm a beginner player in Quake Live but I'm a real Doom fan.

I hope you will enjoy my video, it took me 18 hours selecting demos, recording videos and editing.

Crowdfunding is the way to find money, nothing else. That's the way "smart" Pebble watches saw the world ($10,266,845 from 68,928 men). That's how new gaming console OUYA came out ($8,596,475 from 63,416 men). People gather money for movies, games, everything.

We already started this thing in Russia, and it works quite well. But probably there are people in other countries, that would like to see such players as evil, ash or pavel on major US and European LAN's? We would really appreciate your help.

Hello everyone. EsportsFrance is back with another interview. This time, we wanted and had the opportunity to talk with Australia Frazer "FraZe" Hockley, the Oceanic superstar who did very well this winter in the European scene while staying in the United Kingdom.

In this interview, EsportsFrance asked FraZe about his trip to Europe last winter, the European scene, the Australian scene, his play style, his gear, his girlfriend, his plans with QuakeLive for the future, CTF, TDM... and some more stuff.

Here is an extract of the interview:
France EsportsFrance: It seems that you play CTF regularly, is it something that you are going to play as seriously as duel, or is it just occasionally? What about TDM?

Australia FraZe: Well we have seasonal CTF and TDM comps here so i do play both during the year. I prefer TDM personaly but enjoy CTF too. Whilst i was in Europe i was playing TDM quite a bit more than i do here though however, as i had quite a few guys message me to play, especially when i first arrived I was lucky enough to have x1ks ask me to play with the polish boys, and I had a lot of fun playing with those guys, although it was a bit different to playing here as being from Australia, im used to everyone on quake being able to speak next to perfect English, and not randomly start speaking in any other language I cant understand...
