Hello and congratulations to 1st/2nd place in Resp3ct TDM tournament. How did the finale went for you, any specific moments you'd like to comment on?
link1n: Well, I personaly had quite a shit day, and I wasn't in the mood to play this game. I warmup-ed 20 minutes before the game with my mates and the game was started. On ospdm5, I had a really bad feeling when they were leading by +30 or something, I thought that it would end pretty badly. But we managed to close the gap, and won it by a few frags. On dm14, I knew we could do great, even if zyv, always say that he sucks on it. So we tried to control kinda everything very very fast, and we had a large lead. So I guess we played a very strong dm14, but unfortunately, I don't think Polish players were in their usually shape, I don't know. Anyway, I'm glad that we won 2-0
How did you get to online gaming in the first place? For how long do you play quake 3 and fps games in general?
link1n: Well, I started playing Quake 3 because of my brother AppleSeed. I liked the game, so I gave it a try. We played a lot of duels in LAN, even though I couldn't kill him once at the beginning, but still, I wanted to improve. This is prolly the only FPS game I like so much, even though I tried UT, CS, Warsow.. but I was not very happy about them. I've been playing Quake 3 for 8 years, maybe more, I can't even remember :)
You are well known in q3 community as skilled TDM player for some time. Was it a long hard journey to get to top or you were kind of natural talent.
link1n: I can't say I was kind of a natural talent since I played a lot with my brother, and online. I kinda tried every Quake 3 mods, such as CTF, TDM, RA3, 1v1, FT... and for me, I'm truely more motivated when it's about TDM. I think that is the best mod Q3 ever "created" and it's a shame we can't have LANs/ESWC hosting some. Even some 2v2's would be so freaking awesome. We can only see it in ASUS cup, and unfortunately, my mate unity and I can't pay for.
What do you consider to be your greatest success in your gaming career and why?
link1n: So to put it in a nutshell, I guess a played very much to have my aim, and basically was just motivated to learn TDM very fast. p1mp and IC were my idols :) I don't know, I think I don't really have a greatest moment in my "career". It's just that I had great moments like playing for france @ ESWC, being on top in CTF/TDM, but my greatest success would be to win an offline international tournament. But since it's all about 1v1, I don't see it coming :)
What are your other hobbies excluding gaming?
link1n: I listen to a lot of music, I like playing soccer, riding a bike, going & hanging out with my friends, creating stuff on After Effects, and of course have a great moment with my gf.., kinda like every teenager of my age :P
ok thx and gratz :)
link1n: np :)
