Teamkillers vs Suddendeath (Fixture)
Scheduled: Sunday 9th January 21:00CET
If it’s one game Teamkillers need to prove that they’re really serious about this, this is it. I think they would have to win this to advance to the playoffs, so if Teamkillers managed to beat Quakeklan earlier, this game is going to be really intense. However, Suddendeath should win this and I think Teamkillers need to pull off something extraordinary to take home two maps here, but it’s far from impossible. Especially if Teamkillers spirit is high after beating Quakeklan, and Suddendeaths are a bit low after being beaten by Slackers who are favourites to end up at the top of the group.
Possible highlights:
- The E1M2 game.
- Nervous quadbores from both sides on the decider.
Expected outcome: 2-1 to Suddendeath
Slackers vs Quakeklan (Fixture)
Scheduled: Sunday 9th January 21:00CET
I suspect this game to be quite one sided, but for excitements sake lets hope Quakeklan puts up the game of their lives. Quakeklans best hope would be E1M2, and pull off some magic teamplay / quad runs, and hopefully ruin some of Slackers moral before an eventual decider. Normally I think Slackers would simply be too dominating on DM2 and DM3, but I’ve been wrong before. Something that Quakeklan should strive to use to their advantage is that Dimman and TheEvilDog have both been partly schooled into the division 1 players they are in Slackers and the Slackers2 project, which has probably given them a great insight into master Paradoks' tactical thinking, who's now on the opposing side.
Possible highlights:
- Slackers showing how a proper maplock is done
- Quakeklan pulling off the game of their lives, winning E1M2 (and maybe a fullstart DM2 decider?)
Expected outcome: 2-0 to Slackers
