viaIImaximus: Hello! Would you be so kind to introduce your team to us (who the players are, what their/your experience is in Quake and the HoQ league)?
hattifnattar:Hey! Zombei is a clan which was created by cewk (duel1st) from Finland. Since I started to play QL in 2014 he was so kind to invite me and zild (oldschool from aCtionLigan when boney ruled). However, these two finnish player weren’t so active and We couldn’t take part in HoQ. Then they became inactive or playing CA, not replying, real life stuff, etc etc. And I decided to find new players for playing:

deimos – is my old friend since Q3A (2010), young man with family priorities, so that’s why he is not playing a lot (quote «pesikpuknet – udachastuknet!»)

k1lljoy – I met him online in 2015 and he was fine person to play and talk (quote «sosi»)
ericcartmenez – mate from times when here in Belarus We were playing on LAN only, he is our emotional damage dealer (quote «DA BLYAD NEPOPAL!»)
play_ua – Ukranian talk-show and good dueler. He’s trying to play TDM and I appreciate that (quote «ta ppc!»)
furti_ve – the most rational player in our lineup, he’s new to TDM and I hope he’ll be improving his skill (no quote, he’s keeping silence)
ivnray – the newest player and… Just Ivan
me (hattifnattar) – playing TDM since 2008. People say «Rat, vspinku, 4mo kemperskoe, midskill player, mid+»(quote «CAMP MORE!»)

And we are still open to new players and friends \o
With lineup: me, deimos, ericcartmenez, k1lljoy and ksan (inactive now) We tried our teamplay in HoQ Season 8.

viaIImaximus: Did you prepare for the HoQ TDM Spring 2016 season? Did you practice?
hattifnattar:Yes we did. We have played versus almost all teams in Division 3 except n.e.r.d.s. Also got mercied by d4, b52, etc.

k1lljoy:Cannot really say we’ve made some special preparations, but most of us played tdm pickups occasionally (#tdmpickup and #qlpickup.ru), we also played several pcw's with the other HoQ teams including D4, B52, excel, onfire, Burrito, and actually all div3 teams, except nerds.

viaIImaximus: What do you think of the map pool?
hattifnattar:I like old maps but Limbus is the best.TrigFortress is for those who like MG and are aiming much better than me.

k1lljoy: Well, its pretty ok, except for the fact I personally hate old-fart maps like dm14 and ospdm5/ospdm6 (glad the last mentioned didn’t get into the maplist though). Furthermore, dm20 is just a braindead run-and-shoot map, after playing which you often get a head-ache and a LMB broken :/

viaIImaximus: Your next opponent is infinity. What do you think of them? Who do you think has a better chance of winning?
hattifnattar:I hope we can win 2:0. Pio did a great job to get together good players such as inz, KindDevil, etc. I am glad that they are motivated and able to play in League. Hope to see’em quaking in the future.

k1lljoy:Hm, actually these guys are not our first opponents. We've already played vs vOcze team. Infinity (aka
“Vosmerki”) is actually a russian team we've played lots of practice games with. They have some strong players with decent aim in their lineup (kinddevil, inz), the others are trying hard and constantly improving. Therefore, despite the fact that they will probably be the underdogs in our matchup, I’m pretty sure it won’t be a walkover for us by any means. Nonetheless Ihope we'll be able to win 2:0 considering we have more experience in tdm and played a decent number of practice games recently.

viaIImaximus: Now that the groups have been released, who do you think the favorite is in your division?
hattifnattar:Erm. As for me, it was really odd to see n.e.r.d.s. with MUCH more stronger lineup (since Season 8) in Division 3. I’m sure with these players the team actually can win teams from Division 2. Therefore, n.e.r.d.s. will win our Division 3 versus every team with 2:0 by mercy limits, You’ll see.

k1lljoy:Well, it seems like 'nerds' have a very strong lineup for this season, honestly I was not expecting to see them here. I really think that with their actual squad they are able to make fuss in div2 and defeat some teams in there.

viaIImaximus: What are your team's ambitions for this tournament?
hattifnattar:We will try to do our best in the gameon Week 3! 8D

k1lljoy:We're always striving for the top, so we'll try our best in every game.

viaIImaximus: Hello! Would you be so kind to introduce your team to us (who the players are, what their/your experience is in Quake and the HoQ league)?
Pio: Our team is rather new, we gathered just about 5 month ago. Many of us didn't play quake for years! We were invited to participate in HoQ league by Zombie team, they are our friends :)
Our current lineup is: PIo (Igor, captain), Inz (Andrey), KindDevil (Igor), lostkost (Dmitriy), Myp3uk (Nikita), Banshee (Roman). We're all from Russia, but from different cities.

viaIImaximus: Did you prepare for the HoQ TDM Spring 2016 season? Did you practice?
Pio: Yes, we played some practice games, so ye - prepared, but not nearly as much time as we would like to due to different time zones of our players, lack of spare time, different family circumstances etc. Sometimes the opponents' team could not play and quit or did not appear after prior arrangements.

viaIImaximus: What do you think of the map pool?
Pio: The mappool is quite good, I like it! 8)

viaIImaximus: Your next opponent is Zombei. What do you think of them? Who do you think has a better chance of winning?
Pio: Zombei team is a difficult opponent. The game will be extremely emotional and tense! But we'll surely try to do our best and to play strictly according to our tactical plan.

viaIImaximus: Now that the groups have been released, who do you think the favorite is in your division?
Pio: We are really looking forward to 'Zombei vs Nerds' game and will root for zombies. That game is gonna be very interesting and tense!

viaIImaximus: What are your team's ambitions for this tournament?
Pio: We'll do our best for sure and will try to show our best performance in every game, but being realists we'll fight for 3rd place in DIV3. Well, we can do it!

viaIImaximus: Anything else that you would like to add i.e. shoutouts?
Pio: We would like to say 'thank you' to all those guys who started, run and support this league, keep up the good work!

viaIImaximus: Hello! Would you be so kind to introduce your team to us (who the players are, what their/your experience is in Quake and the HoQ league)?
maf: Team history is written through the ages… but we all gathered just few weeks before the start of the HoQ spring league to have some fun. RAKS is not an abbreviation; it is a transliteration from russian word, meaning “crayfish” in plural. Furthermore, that word means “Cancer” (constellation and zodiac sign), that is why our clan tag is a sign of the Cancer constellation.) We’ve crawled from different remote parts of Russia and eager for enchanting victories!

Maf (Andrey, Moscow) - team captain, but more like a manager with the talent of catching enemies’ grenades. Started with Quake 2 like a duelist. In 2007 I made a break in gaming for 8 years, but now I’m back in the ranks, playing TDM (#qlpickup.ru and#tdmpickup – further pickups).

Podbitiy_olen3 (Edgar, Crimea) – was brought to quake by his elder brother in 2013, and playing CA and recently TDM (pickups) since then. A fighter for animal rights! Favorite phrase – “revAnge”!

Gibi aka Gibiskuss (Sergey, St. Petersburg) – started FPS gaming with Quake 2 back in the days. Nowadays mostly playing FFA and TDM (pickups), also likes FreezeTag and Race modes. He’s covering our backs. Hobbies: searching for the new maps.

Aton1kblast (Daniil, Petrozavodsk) - started playing Quake back in 2002, used to love Defrag back in the days. Was inactive for 5 years (2005 – 2010). After that he came back to defrag again, and now playing quake live for 2.5 years already. Duelist, but also keen on playing some TDMs (pickups), has also shown tdm pickups to Maf. Hobbies: getting mad and uninstalling Quake!

Kalter (Piotr, Rostov-on-Don) – some burring lad. Has been playing QL for 4 years, prefers TDM. Before QL he's also tried his hand in CS. A rising star in the Cancer constellation. Kalter rocks!

170bpm (Zahar, St. Petersburg) – There are legends about this person, but what's true and what's not - one might only guess. Zahar loves duels, but does not hesitate to play TDM (pickups). Our team's official streamer. He promises to be a gangster in the future! :D

viaIImaximus: Did you prepare for the HoQ TDM Spring 2016 season? Did you practice?
maf: We’ve played a few pcw’s recently, mainly versus zombie and infinity teams.

viaIImaximus: What do you think of the map pool?
maf: Nothing special, a standard set of maps. I will not tell the maps which we don’t like, haha :D Furthermore, the map-pool lacks Tornado and something new like Geotechnic, for example.

viaIImaximus: Your next opponent is Virtual Owners. What do you think of them? Who do you think has a better chance of winning?
maf: Czechs have good beer and we have good crayfish and crabs - that will be a fabulous table!
And I have a prediction for the match with the zombies team: all zombies will die of hunger cause we do not have brains, and therefore the score will be -50 - 0 in our favor.

viaIImaximus: Now that the groups have been released, who do you think the favorite is in your division?
maf: Of course, we consider ourselves to be the favorites! But we must be more realistic - "n.e.r.d.s.” seem to be the favourite, considering their lineup.

viaIImaximus: What are your team's ambitions for this tournament?
maf: Our target - top 3! But at least we wanna give some kicks in the ass to every team out there! )

viaIImaximus: Anything else that you would like to add i.e. shoutouts?
maf: We are glad that there are still such tournaments in Quake. They help the ever-dying community to be afloat and not lose motivation for the progress. Only TDM! Only hardcore!
