One of the all time best players of the Quake3 era. Known for his extreme dedication to the game inputting excessive hours of practice time to always ensure a top performance.
Always one of the first guys to quickly jump to the top of the game, eaisly and quicly learnt the ins and outs of his competitive games include the tricks and jumps, backed with good aim and a tactical brain. he has already shined stardom and started the Doom 3 era by taking first place in the very first Doom 3 tournament of QuakeCon. Earned himself $25.000.

United States of America Daler - Sean Price
Team: star 69

Quake 3
UT: 2003
Painkiller

He’s QuakeCons' star. In 2002, he came out of nothing right into the top American ranks by defeating some of Quakes' finest. One of which was no other than Johnathan Wendel. All of which happened to likely the most popular QuakeCon tourney; Quakecon 2002.
Price competed in Painkiller at CPL Summer 2004, while at the time he didn’t really like the game, but ended with 6th place. During QuakeCon 2004 he decided to enter both Q3 and D3 duel competitions. He eneded up with a 4th place for Quake3, but had better luck within Doom 3. He was the nightmare for fatal1ty in the winner brackets final, taking out the American prodigy and knocking him into the losers bracket. Though the tables were turned during the grand final, as he lost to fatal1ty and took home a second place spot.

Germany SteLam - Stephan Lammert
Team: SK Gaming

Quake 3
Painkiller

SteLam was never really the rushing guy, always playing a tactically passive game. Thus his style was not fully situated for the Painkiller driving factor which happens to be speed. Luckily Doom 3 is slower paced in terms of movement which is in favour of SteLam..
Altough TDM seemed his type of game as well as highlight in Quake3, i expect duel to suit him perfectly for Doom3.

Netherlands Vo0 - Sander Kaasjager
Team: fnatic

Quake 3
UT: 2003
Painkiller

Starting late in Quake3 OSP and quickly becoming bored of it, he decided to move to the faster alternative Q3 gametype; CMPA. He loved and played it with a passion. He became on of the scenes top players, unfortuenetly the CPMA competitive scene wasn't that of OSP.
Painkiller was so fast that it attracted the Dutch players attention directly having a leading edge over others with his leading CPMA movement skills, Vo0 also helped to make PK a good and playable game. He suceeded at the only two international tournaments for PK, which happened to be ESWC 2004 and the CPL Summer 2004 event.

Italy stermy - Alessandro Avallone
Team: TuLLs

Quake 3
Painkiller
UT: 2004

He started to play Quake3 a little late, but still he managed to win the World Cyber Games of Italy in 2002 and became one of the key player of TuLLs.
In duel he lacked a few key features to stand much of chance versus the real top duelers, although Painkiller shed a different light. With a second place at ESWC and fourth place at CPL, he has proven that he has a bright future in front of him and more importantly for Doom3.

Germany GitzZz - Christian Höck
Team: SK Gaming

UT
UT: 2003
UT: 2004

Without a doubt he is a UT legend, his name belongs in the list of all time Game legends along with Boxer, Fatal1ty, and Thresh. Almost all tournaments that he entered he left victourious. He entered the World Cyber Games twice and won on both occasions. He Won ESWC 2003 beating fatal1ty and took a second at ESWC 2004, but then went on to win CPL Summer 2004 with SK Gaming.
The results speak for themselves that this guy is likely the best UT player ever.

Sweden fox - Magnus Olsson
Team: fnatic

Quake 3

fox was one of those great TDM players in Q3. A lot of talent, known for his deadly rail aim, but Doom 3 happens to be without a rail.
He has the dedication, the experience and the support. He won the EuroCup with team iCE cLIMBERS a few times and has an impressive duel record with a 4th at QuakeCon 2003 and during the ES WorldCup 2004, he won the deciding game for Sweden, versus Americas' ZeRo4.

Russia LeXeR - Alexey Nesterov
Team: M19

Quake 3

A very well known Quake3 player, winner of QuakeCon 2002 and second place at WCG 2001. He made his debut at CPL Holland ending fourth as a underdog. After, continued to grow as a top player, to later take a third place at ES WorldCup 2003.

United States of America czm - Paul Nelson
Team: clan Kapitol

QuakeWorld
RTCW
Quake 3

In the beginning of Quake3 he quickly became one of the top players but never really managed to win a tournament. He was always a player that no matter the conditions, could show a tough game versus fatal1ty or any other top player. He was known as one of the key players in cK when they won frag4 and during the past 2 years, czm has became better and better. He was recently praised as the last Quake3 king, considering he won QuakeCon 2004 and during ESWC 2004 he won the grand final game vs Z4muZ during the Nation VS Nation duel tournament, but more or less dominated all his games during the early stages.

Italy ForresT - Nicola Geretti
Team: play.it

Quake 3
UT: 2003
UT: 2004

Not good enough in Quake3 but he was the talent of the year during 2003 for UT. He won World Cyber Games 2003 and placed second at the European Cyber Games then going on to take a recent 4th place spot at the Electronic Sport World Cup 2004.
