Well, i certainly do hate flying, thats fo sho. finally landed in Cairns yesterday after about 26hours since leaving Heathrow. It was about 1pm so i had the rest of the day to stay awake too, but by then my adrenaline had kicked in as i was so excited to have finally got here! Met my gf set up tent etc and went into the city. I find it hard to grasp that its winter here, its at least 30deg. the thing that struck me the most, though, was that people are so much more happier and helpful than those in england, its so noticable, im already falling in love with being away from home.
not really much to say, just that i'm here now and having a great time lying on the beach. stay in Cairns for 1 more full day and then heading down the coast to Magnetic Island for those who know of it. No way to upload pictures here, but i think i'll save them for a bigger update anyway (dont think ive got any great ones yet tbh).
i'll update this journal whenever, at rather random dates i imagine.
