In our 7th eddition of the Infected Duel Cup Series Poland Gienek won over UkraineNicerDicer in the final with the score of 3 : 0. While SwedenSlafz played in both - winner bracket/loser brackets finals but ended up 3rd. Congratulations to all players!

Our Infected EU Duel Cup #8 takes place on European servers and all players of all skill levels are welcome! You can already sign up, and make sure to have a stay on IRC at #infectedGaming while the cups proceeds.

We're pleased to announce the release of QUAKE LIVE Premium Pak 13. This release contains five new arenas from popular community authors, new player character skins, and a change to our Premium subscription model. Starting today, we will be regularly cycling the Standard arena pool. On the first Monday of each month, 21 arenas will be selected as playable for Standard-level matches. Newly released arenas will remain exclusive for at least three months, but every other arena is eligible to be included in the cycle.

In addition to this change, we are also introducing a new arena voting system to increase the variety of arenas played. Players playing on Standard-level matches will now have a choice between three arenas at the end of each match. The arena voted on will be the next match played. Premium matches will continue to have access to the entire arena pool, and matches created by our Pro players will continue to have the option to change arenas at any point.

Rounding out this update are new "Bright" and "Sport" skin variations for every model on the roster, to allow players to be any character in the game, but still remain highly visible. We also have a few updates to our new Start a Match to help manage matches. We've seen a tremendous increase in Start a Match activity in recent months, and we love seeing what modifications our players have come up with so far! Without further ado, here’s what’s new:

A bit longer than a month ago the Russian site Russia cyberfight.ru announced a moviemaking competition giving moviemakers all over the world the chance to compete for 450$ prize money. After a week of voting by site members and a panel of cyberfight admins and ASUS employees the results were released yesterday.

Sad day for me and many others I am sure, but it seems Russia Anton "Cooller" Singov has retired from professional gaming after confirming he wont be attending Quakecon. He is focused on his current job (Sales Manager of elite cars - Land Rover and Jaguar) and is planning his wedding in August.

Dear Quake fans and those that just love to game, the Cyber Sports Network is proud announce that we will be running events and raffles during QuakeCon 2012 BYOC. Much like last year, CSN will host tournaments, raffles, giveaways and show matches and hand out over $20,000 in cash and prizes. Along with plenty of BYOC Quake Live action of various mods, including PQL, FFA and Domination, CSN will host various events for some of the top RTS, MOBA and FPS game titles.

For this to all happen, CSN will need your help. For the last 2 years, CSN has been proud to be only major gaming organization to continue to support Quake and other FPS game titles in North America and the QuakeCon BYOC is the mecca of FPS LAN parties.

The Cyber Sports Network has started a kickstarter fundraising program to help organize this experience. All donations to this program will go directly to the BYOC! Even a single donation of $1 will help. For CSN to cover the cost of this experience, the entire project must be funded. CSN is asking for all of those Quakers that appreciate the contribution made to the community consider donating.

Update

After 9 hours of intense Warsow Duel action Finland hyrveli has secured the first place in front of Finland Viigo and the other 13 players. Finland Huksi`and Finland LuGia both got on the 3rd place.
Unfortunately the event couldn't be streamed due to the server-machine not having an internet-connection. Videos and Demos from the tournament will follow soon.

The Warsow Team teamed with Jimm's PC Store and Kingston to bring the community a overdue LAN event for the upcoming Warsow release. The tournament will be held during the Assembly Summer 2012 LAN at the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki, Finland.

All matches will be played on PCs provided by Jimm's PC Store and prizes will be sponsored by Kingston. A Duel tournament will be organized. Exact rules are yet to be announced.




Apart from the tournament itself the event is planed to be an opportunity for the community to meet and exchange on a more personal basis.

A month after DH Summer 2012 LAN Quake Live tourney took place, I would like to present my newest movie, a sequel to the well received The afterspray. As the original, it's also a frag highlight movie from a duel LAN tournament.

The video itself is short, simple and sort of unique. I did my best to pick and show only the best frags. Enjoy=) Due to low quality on YouTube, downloading is highly recommended! P.S.: I want to finish another movie project before fall. If you want to be up to date, follow my blog =)

As per the news a couple of weeks ago, the sign-ups for the Adroits LAN in October are open as of now!


A ChipIn account has been created for anybody who wishes to donate to the prize pool for the players. We are also looking into creating seperate ChipIn accounts for the nations participating in the TDM World Cup to help them offset expenses. These will be set up once we know which teams have signed up.
