In somewhat delayed news, a new semi-competative first person shooter Shootmania Storm is now available to selected beta testers. Undeterred by a lack of public consensus on the unreleased game, some players have already chosen to invest their time in it.

Based on previous community reports it is a slower than Quake, open terrain, kind of a game. On the other hand, popular gaming media reports the developer intends it be a "pure" FPS.
A whole experience system could have been implemented into Trackmania, but a game based on skill is more interesting for the people we like to play with. With Shootmania, it’s the same thing. It’s based on skill. There are no RPG mechanics. We want to make it as pure as possible.

The first quarter final of the Rising Stars Challenge features two Iberian players

Sl1p and

Insan3. The former, being the more accomplished player, comes from a long time of inactivity but is playing actively to prepare for this tournament and for DreamHack.

The two last met in ZOTAC #133 two weeks ago where Insan3 was able to secure a victory in a close game so Sl1p will be out for revenge. The game will take place today at 13:00 CST but before I invite you to take a look at interviews conducted with both players on the following pages.

After quite an inactive period, the Kuh3liga is coming back to life with two leagues for the Summer 2012! Both leagues will be played on Quakelive on the following gametypes: CTF and TDM 4v4. The sign-ups will be open from the 1st June to the 15th.

zer0c fought his way to the winners podium with the third place. The fifth edition takes place on European servers and all players of all skill levels are welcome! You can already sign up, and make sure to have a stay on IRC at #infectedGaming while the cups proceeds. But this time we need your help: Just in time for the Dreamhack Summer event, we are updating our mappool but we still need to add 2 maps. On our homepage (right side) you can vote now for one map, that you want to have in the infected Cup Series. The votings are open till sunday, so it's about you, which maps will be played next Saturday!
