Finding the best CSGO gambling sites in 2019 is not that easy. CSGO gambling has had a chequered past to say the least, with many sites being shut down and penalised because of illegal activity.

There is clearly a demand among some Counter-Strike lovers to bet on their favourite game but for the sector to be sustainable long-term, CSGO gambling sites must comply with the laws - primarily for the safety and security of esports fans but also for the sake of themselves.

EMS9 QL Duel Playoffs (18 comments)
Posted by xou @ 13:37 CST, 15 December 2011 - iMsg
The Group Stage of the qlESL Major Series Season IX is now finished and the Brackets for the final part of the competition are now known and published. As the top3 players from each group advanced to the playoffs, the 2nd and 3rd will play each others in the Eighth finals while the 1st directly advanced to the Quarter finals. All the matches will be played as best-of-5 and the system will be single Elimination. The first round is planned for Thursday 15th around 14:00 CDT!

During the Group Stage, a lot of players were removed due to noshows or inactivity (including some top seeds: Russia Cooller, Poland av3k and Belarus Cypher). In Group A, the classic duel match between France strenx and Germany k1llsen went in favor of the German player for the 1st rank and Ukraine Reaper took the 3rd place over Poland tox1c in a five-mapper. United Kingdom GaRpY had no problem topping Group B and is followed by Poland lotn1k and Germany smoke. Sadly, Sweden fazz decided to give up on duel and left the tournament.

For the Group C rankings, things weren't so easy. Sweden spart1e, Ireland kRoNic and France guismo were perfectly tied for the 1st rank at the end of the Group Stage. The 3 players had to go through bo3 tie-breakers (results can be seen on their respective group matches pages), and spart1e came out first after being able to take a map from guismo in the only 3-mapper! Finally, in Group D Netherlands Sc00t managed to defeat Russia agent after a deciding map to take the lead, despite his loss against Germany reload who's finishing at the third place.

Most of the demos and detailed results from the Group Stage are available. If some are missing, it simply means the players didn't communicate them.

Update: Some games are live and streamed on Russia c58. Also zoot and owzo should stream some, starting with strenx vs reload.

United Kingdom Fade went to DreamHack Winter 2011 with a few different things in mind. He of course wanted to play for a bit but also he wanted to make a documentary about DreamHack. As he wrote in this thread about a week before the event started he will be doing interviews with all the involved with Quake Live at DreamHack: players, streamers, staff and fans.

But as he said himself: "I want to show you guys who are not at LAN or have ever been to one, whats it's like there and what goes on at theses events."

Last night he released a trailer! Make sure to check it out and also catch the real deal when it's out in January 2012.

CSN Euro CTF Cup #1 (40 comments)
Posted by w0nk0 @ 17:08 CST, 10 December 2011 - iMsg
Cyber Sports Network announces the first of a series of European Cups for QuakeLive. The first cup will be a group play event for Capture the Flag and will include only top European CTF teams.

Matches will start at 09:00 CST, 11 December 2011

The map pool is Finnegans, Courtyard, Japanese Castles, Shining Forces and Ironworks. Unfortunately, the new map, Reflux, has not been included due to performance issues for a lot of players on that map.

Several teams, such as Unknown and Expendables, have already committed to the event which promises a strong cup and good CTF play. The teams will play in a round robin system which means that everyone vs everyone will have to play, so you cant' miss out on a good game due to possible bad seedings.

Coverage information will be updated shortly and in the meanwhile, you're invited to idle in #csn.ql on quakenet and ask any admins there if you have some questions about the cup.

EQL14 Final: Slackers vs Fragomatic (22 comments)
Posted by Åke Vader @ 12:27 CST, 10 December 2011 - iMsg
Scheduled: 12:00 CST, 11 December 2011 to 15:00 CST, 11 December 2011
Schedule: Passed

Tomorrow (Sunday) at 19:00CET it's time for the grand final in division 1 of European Quake League. In this fourteenth edition it's the European union Slackers that are taking on the Swedish powerhouse Fragomatic in a best of five map series.

Slackers have as always been a solid team throughout the season, only losing three maps in total with two of those being against Fragomatic themselves in the group stage match. Their last game was against Suddendeath in the semifinal whom they managed to fend off in a straight 3-0 win. However, Fragomatic are by many the favourites to prevail in this final and judging from their performance against Crazy 88 in their last match where they totally dominated their opponents, this is not off the chart at all. They have only lost one map this season, against Slackers, and have an incredible lineup including finnish star player Milton.

Although Slackers are most probably missing one of their core players in Murdoc, this game might turn out to be a real classic. Make sure to keep an eye on qtv.quakeworld.nu when it is about to start in order not to miss out on the action!

Late Edit: Division 2 Final is also scheduled for tonight. The teams fighting for the championship are OClan and Immortals! The game is at 21 CET! Division 1 Bronze game will aswell be played tonight, schedule isn't exact but starting earliest at 22CET. The bronze game will be played between Suddendeath and Crazy 88!

The Final will be streamed by Jehar: http://tastyspleen.tv/?page_id=207

derQuaker Interview: Yellack (35 comments)
Posted by erzwo @ 17:07 CST, 9 December 2011 - iMsg
After finisching 4th Place in the Dreamhack TDM Tournament Germany Yellack from 2K.Clan give us his thoughts about Quakelive, Dreamhack and map building.
Here is a small snippet:
Yellack about id Support at Dreamhack:
"Well it kind of saddens me that there isn’t a single Original QL Banner or any promotion for the game. It’s a lost opportunity in my opinion when there are thousands of young gamers walking around and hardly see that QL is played there. Shouldn’t be too expensive to pimp the area up with some original id/QL stuff. It’s the biggest Lan in the world goddamnit!"
Be sure to read the full interview on derQuaker and check out his DH gallery.
