As stated in this thread South Africa fnx had a talk with the manager of the Meltdown gaming pub in London and it seems that we've been blessed with a place to watch Quakecon together.

The place is pretty nice (I visited it as well) and it's relatively close to King's Cross station. Since we still don't know the exact tournament schedule it is hard to arrange a time to meet up. The pub opens at 5 and knowing NA's timezone I'd assume the games will be already rolling at 5 BST. So the earlier, the better.

Keep in mind that if we manage to gather a decent amount of people we could draw the attention of the pub to the arena shooter scene, and therefore hopefully getting a venue for some other events.

Post somewhere if you think you will come, cheers.

THE LONG AWAITED PRO TEAM HAS BEEN CONFIRMED.

THE HYPE IS OVER.

Team Name: Hype Train (Br1ck, Fear, Avenged, Effortless)

First we have our High D, Br1ck. He's been through a lot this year and deserves this epic combination of players. He's particularly well known for this terrible aim and inconsistent play.

Next we have one of our Offensive players, Fear. He wanted to give a personal statement of his thoughts about Quakecon, so here it is. "DICKS DICKS DICKS DICKS DICKS." He provides some of the best input for our team and is the team analyst.

For our second Offensive player we have Avenged. Avenged is known to go out to brewerys every weekend and hangout with his wife. He occasionally gets on Quakelive to play a game, but rarely plays with his team.

And for our last (and best) player we have Effortless. He's the main Flag D. He has zero accomplishments when it comes to Quake, but won the 10k raffle last year at the 2014 Quakecon. He officially won more money than Cypher. Therefore Effortless> Cypher.

We have high hopes to win money at Quakecon, as long as it involves raffles. Effortless has won 100% of the Quakecon raffles he's entered, so we expect that again this year.

On the weekend of 11-12 July, FACEIT and EGB.com will be bringing you the annual Road2QuakeCon tournaments, with a total prize purse of $5,000.

On Saturday 11 July, The FACEIT Road2Quakecon Duel invitational will take place, with Russia Cooller, Russia evil, Belarus Cypher, Belarus clawz, Sweden Fazz, Sweden Spart1e, Sweden toxic and Austria noctis fighting for $2,500! The players will be placed in two groups, fully played in a best-of-three format. The top two players of each group head into the best-of-five single elimination playoffs.


The day after will see the four European teams which are heading to QuakeCon competing in TDM, CTF and Duel. Europe Meltdown, Europe iGamerz, Europe Averagers and Russia Deliberate Murder will face off in a single elimination bracket, with the teams first facing off in a best-of-three TDM game, followed by a best-of-three CTF game. The winner of each Best of three mode will gain 1 point. If teams are tied , both teams will select a dueller to determine the winner in a best-of-three Duel. The teams will be playing for a $2,500 prize purse.


The legendary duo which has brought viewers much FACEIT Quake Live action in the past will return on United Kingdom FACEITTV! United Kingdom Daniel “ddk” Kapadia and United Kingdom Xavier “Zoot” Dharma will be reunited to bring all the action live, starting both days at 11:00 CEST! We'll have another special surprise for you in the studio, tune in and see!

CA Summer Season sign-ups are now closed with 18 teams signed up. Teams are divided in 2 different divisions, each division contains 9 teams, so more matches per teams and a longer season,only 1 wildcard per team for this season.

IMPORTANT: this cup will last for just 4 weeks, 2 matches per week will be played first game at 20:45 CEST second game as soon as teams are ready, anyway no longer than 21:30 CEST.
