One thing in the show i thought was really interesting was the mass bombardment of asteroids and how they may of bought water to earth

yeah these kind of shows are aired couple of times per week on the discovery channel / science. btw i always hated the debates about the universe and its "infinity" cause common sense dictates that beneath something, something else must exist, but then again, it all had to start from something, even the empty space is something. i better stfu about that cause i'll get mad again.

the show i remember watching was "earth investigated", i think, (its on pretty often), where they were talking about how for years they thought that our planet is like - the ONLY planet on the exact distance from the sun to have the ideal conditions for life (if it was further away it would be too cold for a lifeform, if it was closer to the sun it would be too hot for a lifeform), but they found another one, like REALLY really far away, don't remember its name, but its the only one they consider ideal (maybe) for life. as close to earth as it can be. (in terms of life conditions)

can't remember the name of it, was a word plus a number i think, cba googleing.

+ i remember there was a part about the killing stars, with the experts explaining its immense gravity that attracts the stars (if i remember correctly) to implode, which was pretty scary stuff tbh...

To be honest, BBC Docu's rape the shit out of discover channel etc stuff.

Infinitely more watchable.

I'm reading Cosmos right now and it is fucking amazing.

Saw the first episode of the TV series but wasn't sure if it was as good. Might get through them at some point. From what I've heard though the book and TV series are very closely linked.

Got them all already, but I think I'll have to take a break before watching them or watch them with other people. I fear it would be too repetitive to watch the whole series after finishing the book (the first episode alone took a lot of direct quotes from Chapter 1 of the book for example).

because some people dont have a basic knowledge about space doesnt make them stupid does it. there were some cool facts in this doc. e.g. why our moon perfectly eclipses the sun.. i never knew that.

More to the point than you would get with televised documentaries although still probably not what you're looking for (& not as entertaining). Though if you have a university level understanding of astrophysics, why would you need to watch documentaries on the subject if not for entertainment?

I don't have a university level understanding of astrophysics. But I would love a docu which is like a good astrophysics lecture but then with a beautiful visual and audial experience. Nice videos, thanks.

Making life and career choices based on computer games is defiantly the way forward.
