More like :
stermy : good game
strenx : peut pas jouer d't'façon (I can't play anyway, ie. whining about the ESCW computers/internet I guess).
stermy : yeah sure
stermy : kid
I'd imagine some point late this year, or early next year. As they have footage from ESWC and Dreamhack, so they might be doing one of those full year of competition videos and then just show what he went through preparing for the event, traveling and actually playing.
oh boy, another conspiracy theory eating juBe fanboi.
Do a bit of reading and find out why Inter is called FC. Internazionale and why they were formed as a team in the first place. That should answer your "extremely italian remark".
JuBe has more scudettos but thats about it, Inter has more CL trophies than them and this year they made history by being the 1st italian team to win the treble in a season.
Some parts where he speaks italian are quite hilarious. He's making a particular accent of the region where he lives (which is softer when he speaks normally).
Stermy is obviously a very happy guy doing what he loves - a very endearing individual with a lot of likable qualities.
That being said, his successes in quake as well as the successful branding of himself seems to have estranged him from certain aspects of reality (the grimmer ones). This may account for him seeming like such an innocent guy maybe somewhat naive.
Not necessarily a bad thing though, just pointing out what I observe. Ultimately anyone who can live a life that Stermy has earned for himself deserves to live it however they please.
My only gripe with it is the constantly focused appeal to materialism - the non stop partying / magnificent "hollywood like" social life etc. This strays furthest from reality and hints at the age old "play hard, go pro" slogan still present in gaming; that this is what is worth pursuing.
But really, none of this has anything to do with gaming. Most gamers, even those at the top, are Dirt Poor and may one day have to learn the "hard way".
For a glimpse at the real life of the very best gamers see Shane Hendrixson or Daigo Umehara - No Offense Stermy.

Which means, per1klez = ugly nerd in his parent basement.
oh yes in that regard i agree completely.
i don't get why people underestimate stermy at all when surely his past achievements are more than enough to legitemize him as one of the 'very best gamers'
If youre weren't implying that rapha and daigo are better players, why would you add a "no offense" to a post where you called them the "very best pro gamers"?
The comment: "For a glimpse at the real life of the very best gamers see Shane Hendrixson or Daigo Umehara - No Offense Stermy." is in reference to his portrayal of "the life of a professional gamer"(see the title) and not "the skill of a professional gamer".
Rapha and Daigo feel no need to represent any kind of image other than themselves.
Stermy seems to be promoting some kind of unrealistic lifestyle in this video. Why?
The title is "The life of a professional gamer". It is about stermy, one of the very best gamers, and it is about how he lives. Nowhere does it say "life of the average pro-gamer".
Therefore saying the life of others is more real that his, makes no sense.
On top of that for example pro gamer's in Korea certainly live a completely different life-style.
Thefore comparing the "real life" is completely pointless. Hence, the only term possible to compare is "very best".
This leaves us at the conclusion that you did impliy he is inferior. If that was intentional or not is another matter.
and here I though we were discussing your original statement. you know, like people do when they discuss a statement.
I choose to completely ignore your last statement for you arrogance of being an 19 year old American who thinks he is in the position to judge what a realistic lifestyle is.
wtf is this?
srsly, this movie looks like it's about stermy walking around and talking to girls with bad music in the background. no offence to anyone involved in this, but this seems highly unprofessional and boring. the trailer is fucking 20 minutes long, yet nothing remotely interesting is happening.
well, it did show that they must have shot a shitload of content so i'm very curious to see what else they might have and how the final thing is going to turn out.
seems like a real stand up guy... sooo dreamy. makes me want to make the trek to qcon so I can watch how the pros play (from behind their shoulder). Does stermy wear an analog watch to time items?!
Are you talking about the 30minutes long videoclip about how racism hurt Rafik's career and oh really it's not fair yet manage to depict him as the epithome of a civilized nigger ? ( like they traded hypocrite racism for borderline racism + 19th century colonialism vibe )
Yup that's it, that was only part of the documentary. I didn't enjoy that part of the doco but I liked most of the other stuff, more of a realistic view of "professional" gaming but like with every other profession only the very elite get something out of it (most of the time).
Yeah the rest was fine actually but the parts about Rafik were so over the top I still don't know if I got trolled or if they are stupid enough to have pulled such a move as making themselves look racist in an even more nasty way than the guys they were bashing.
mixed feelings about this trailer but stermy is a really cool dude and a good player.
also big nose or not, that girl was adorable with all the giggling.
Of course they're gonna show his life as glamorous and cool(kinda loled at the segments from Sweden though, cheapo easyjet and slow-ass-bus :D). It's a marketing video for him pretty much?
I actually liked this. You can tell it's made by italians though, always zooming in on the hot ladies everywhere possible. I wouldda made it shorter. ALEJANDRO! ALESSANDRO!
I want to see k1llsen's version of this. He works, has a family, and manages to play at the top level consistently. That's more interesting to me than watching people party.
