i have a shitty keyboard and i have created a habit of hodling the jump key for too long instead of just tapping it when strafing...
is there a way to make a script so it goes "-moveup " right away and doesnt wait for me to maybe let go of the button? and would there be a noticable delay in using such a script?

No, you cannot. Scripts are dependant on the counting of fps. For example: +moveup;wait 5 (frames);-moveup. However using this is useless because 'wait' will literally shut down all the other movement keys for 5 frames. Just use mouse2 for jump :>
If you want to learn to time your jump by one frame instead of just pressing the damn button and letting go like a not-idiot, then go ahead and do that.
hes right, try out the script i mentioned... i used it to train my jump timing, otherwise its unusable because like he said you have to time it by the frame
i tried this out and i can do 600ups circle jumps now, before it was 30ups less on average. if you keep holding down the button you will keep bunny hopping but it stops once you change your strafe direction.
if you press and let go, you have to time the next jump very precisely as kitten pointed out...
i know a guy had an auto jump script a while ago, so you dont tap the jump button like crazy all the time in defrag, so i know similar scripts exist
