I enjoy most fighting games like ssf4:ae, sfxt etc etc. Gears of war 3 is pretty awesome to,only fps that works with a pad imo :)

Battlefield 3 (especially in multi), Batman: Arkham City, Rage, Dead Space 1&2, GTA IV, Assasin's Creed series.

Also god of war series is one of the best but it's exclusive on ps3.

I havent been playing much in last years too, but here is what I came across.

The Witcher (2)! Devent RPG although it gains in eyes of Polish audience because the literature behind it is excellent and very popular. You can safely start with 2 which is better in terms of almost everything .Or you can start with "Le Dernier Vśu" by A. Sapkowski if you like good humor, action, dialogues and story.

You should definitely try Portal if you haven't played it. The greatest puzzle game of last decade and by far the most original.

The main thing is how the open environment will affect the atmosphere of the game, whether the fresh air will be good for game or not.

And the battles. If they gonna change the strafe, like, slow it twice times, so you wont use it ALL the time, dancing around monsters and feeling yourself miserable guilty cheater about it)

The rest - i dont worry even a bit, the guys sure know what they do.

Fortress Forever is, in essence, a modern rendition of Team Fortress Classic that “is supposed to be about bringing Team Fortress to modern times, evolved into something more fun and appealing without losing its soul.”

Beneath the derpy graphics is an extremely powerful and faithful simulation of d&d 3.5e, the best one in existence actually. I pretty much love it mostly because the mechanics are amazing, however it is a good game regardless.

POE got annoying for me after some time, because of level system. I totally didnt feel like im getting stronger.

I initially thought Dishonoured was good, I didn't play it all the way through first time round, I should have. It has an awesome smooth feel to the way it plays and the combat is fun sometimes.

Castle Crashers (co-op) and Last of Us (ps3) have been the only two games I have completed within the last 12months,

I couldn't finish the Last of Us. I bought it and got like 4 or 5 hours in and then just forgot about it. It's not like I didn't like it, it just didn't really hold my attention. I got to some part where you have to sneak into some hideout full of bad guys with that dumbass little girl and I was just like, "meeeeeehhhhhh, that seems like a lot of work" and turned it off. Haven't tried again since. It was a weird feeling to like a game but feel zero compulsion to actually progress through it.

In a way, I don't blame you...

i instantly liked the character joel. i think the intro did that for me. kept me in the game.
