hmm. it depends on what game yu're looking for but playing it alone without any help or safety was a quite rewarding experience not comparable to playing in a group, which is the usual sniper stuff with military drill nonsense.

so overall i think less safety is better for the experience (i.e. removing tents, etc..)

well maybe I'd enjoy the solo experience more if it didnt take 10 minutes to connect and respawn on a server..

Edit: Also the game's pace is slow and casual for the most part so the type of dialogue you get from a streamer or friend in the game can be entertaining depending on the type of person. A good contrast is quakelive where you barely have time to talk cause your too busy doing things every millisecond. I find it hard finding a game that is fairly accessible to friends and is a suitable candidate for filler in between lul's of conversation. Most enjoyable moments with friends is usually doing some sort of activity not face to face type of conversation. Having good flow in a 1v1 conversation is pretty tricky at times, especially if you don't know the person well or one/both of you isn't really sharp or tired. :D

Great game that's a copy of minecraft pvp in many ways but is based on a army simulator game.
It's the total opposite to quake in terms of movement and aim tho.

I've also watched streams/videos of it but yet to play it. I might dip in once the stand alone alpha is being sold. It looks sort of annoying to play, really bad netcode and lots of groups on voice comms to gank you with superior or hacked gear. Griefing or fucking around seems the main mode of fun.

You should want it, it's an amazing concept, the most immersive game I've seen in quite a while. You don't actually see many other players around so it makes some encounters real amazing experiences. The fact that when you die you have to restart over adds a lot to this. In this game you don't get frags, you get _murders_.

I've played for a while but I'm taking a break now, unfortunately the game is still a little raw and is plagued by hackers and other annoying bugs. Arma 2 wasn't really written with serious multiplayer in mind so the server accepts a lot of shit from the clients, such as spawning items and moving other players position.

I'm going to wait for some patches then get back to it.

Fantastic game. However it did not have too much content - stopped playing it after month and a half when I experienced almost everything game has to offer. Of course, in this game you also can do crazy role play stuff, but I'm not fond of it.

It's a lot of fun, especially when played with friends. Unfortunately, it still has a billion bugs (all zombies are glitchy as fuck, 5 minute load time to get into a full server, loot randomly disappearing when dropped/or in your backpack - just to name a few), it has no real end-game plan atm; "Got everything, now I'm bored... Let's find someone to kill!" and it has lousy cheatprotection (some thick, German company called "battleeye", terrible) which results into lots of people spawning in items/vehicles(think tank, planes :D) with scripts, killing everyone on servers instantly or just being invincible. If you can look past all that, it's pretty fun! :D
Standalone game should be coming in a few months, supposedly with fixed gameplay 'n stuff.

I am waiting for standalone version to start playing it. I was watching friend playing it alone and it I had a feeling that it is a little bit boring when playing as a lone wolf. Team play videos hovewer are showing that with friends its fun and even hilarious.

It's still better than Arma 2 engine. It simply doesn't work for a game like that. The first person view is the opposite of solid. The model animations are terrible (zombies look dumb as fuck running and zig zagging). WarZ will be a fun game if the maps are as big, there is blood (as in dismembering like in Dead Island), and lots of sit to do. They also need to remove third person view, which is objectively retarded for a game like this since it doesn't has plataform-like features (like a game like Tomb Raider were third person is justified and not only cos of Laras tits and ass, but because of the jumping and enviorement characteristics).
Third person view in games like this are used as a cheat since you have massive FOV, and it's stupid not to use it even if first person is better.

It will be sure better than shitty Arma 2 engine with its retarded model animations.
And the game will have a lockout so you can't simply spawn again. You will be banned for a number of hours and your player will be death. You have to start with a new character.

If there is something realistic that can be compromised for gameplay's sake is the extremely retarded 1:1 day/night cycle, specially considering you can't see shit.

I enjoyed it at first while playing with my friends because of the excitement and the feeling of things "being at stake" everytime you run into someone. I did however have a problem with the constant running everywhere (which takes forever) due to vehicles being disabled. However one day we were lucky enough to find a bus and a car and went on a tour to stock up on parts.

That was fun until I suggested we (about 6 players) go raid one of the big towns in our awesome bus and blast everything we see. But all of them were like "No, then we risk losing it. Let's go park it in our camp behind NE airfield next to our 20 tents full of gear and weapons".

Basically they were playing pack-rats...looting gear and stashing it in their camp at NE where no one ever goes (always just running back and forth).

I quit that very day and haven't touched it since.

Amazing game but hackers/scripters are common and can ruin your experience. It's not fun losing a character because some cheater hops onto a full server and causes all the players to mass suicide by teleporting everyone into the air.

Hopefully the standalone version will have some proper anticheat and some design parameters that won't allow some of the absurd exploits from being possible in the first place (morphing players into animals, dropping "nukes" onto cities, spawning weapons/vehicles not originally available in the game, etc.).

there were some funny hackers as well... a guy who spawned as a smiling dog, running through citys with rainbow smoke and helping all the players. I was just surprised when he spoke to me and said he is super-dog, the friendly dog in cherno :D

best game i've played in a loooooooong time, it's all about survival and everytime i encounter a survivor/bandit and we exchange some bullets just gives me an increase heartbeat and adrenaline boost, feelsgoodman

its an awesome game because the suspense comes from the fear to die. Ye fire action is rare but thats a good thing! Ofc you can search for fights in the big city if you like to die and loose all your hard earned weapons/gear. In cherno and elektro is action quite often. Or you can just try to find as many zombies as you like and have your action with them.

But in general its wise to avoid any action with other players (except you know them in real life) and ofc with zombies.

Keep in mind you have 1 main mission... just to survive.
Its not pvp. Not at all. Its your choice to become a hero or a bandit. Im a hero btw :D

Last night i was playing with my friends and spotted an other player while I was observating a heli crash with my L85A2 AWS (best and most rare item). I could have killed him easily because he didnt notice me and thermal vision is almost like a cheat... I didnt because I didnt know if its a bandit or a hero and he didnt notice me at all.

After walking for 3 or 4 hours from town to town I heard a single silenced shoot just in the forest... a dangerous situation. We couldnt locate the player but the guy would have most likely saw our whole team just after the shoot and rethought his action. A single person vs a whole high-tech team... hehehe. I think the guy ragequit immediately to stay survive otherwise we would have spotted him with thermal vision.

The game is great because you can do whatever you want. Just survive.

One tip for beginners: Its much harder to survive alone but you cant trust any player because they might be friendly for a time... maybe even for a whole week and then they shoot you in head for your weapon. So you cant trust anyone. Just like in real life.
You have to get some real life friends playing this game. This is the only option to make sure they wont shoot you.
Some people dont like "dont trust anyone and noone will trust you" but thats the way it is (if a zombie apocalypse will ever happen...).

eg player crouching because he have a broken leg is looking for help since 3 hours... someone help him and the guy shoot the helping guy in the head afterwards.

Ofc you can do the same thing.... play friendly for a few hours and then shoot him in the back but then other players will see you bandit scarf.... and hero players like to kill bandits.

Its not an awesome game yet.
You play with your friends for 4 hours, looting and collecting vehicles, only to see that you, the rest of the players on the server, and all vehicles to be teleported 200 m above ground outside cherno while some dude laughs in the direct communication. gg wp no re

Recently I developed a habit of playing on private hives only - and boy, my experienced is much better now!

Apart from having virtually hacker-free environment, I can also play on different islands! Lingor, Namalsk and Taviana provide even more interesting gameplay, then original Chernorus map, which becomes quite dry after 1000th run on it.
