It is noctis. I'am pretty sure because of his play style, his skill, his ping, his player model and that he speaks german flawlessly.
It is pretty obvious that he is not k1llsen. This is easy to judge by the playstyle. So the only german speaking duel player with that high skill is noctis.
You can choose your flag pretty easy btw in the account settings.

Played him too, all I can say he's a very experienced player and played on top level for sure at some point. His ping confirms he's either from germany or somewhere near. His mouse movements tell us it's not K1llsen. My guess would be Noctis as well...

I think the fake approach was just halfhearted.
He doesn't know new maps: beats STING on sinister (not really easily, but close is something else)
Speaks german on the server.
Doesn't play around with elo 2000 guys, but challenges 2400+ guys, where the guess is much more easier.

Yes, i realize that very much, but he's not on the same level as cypher, evil, k1llsen, etc....not at the moment anyway.

Also, if you check Noctis' match history, he's playing people like baksteen, t1e, krysa, whereas Thror isn't playing those guys at all. And it goes the other way too - Thror is playing people like cypher, s8n, purri and noctis has NEVER played those guys.

jo das w�r zu krass, der thror typ ist hammer gut. zugegeben, hab noch nie kane spielen sehen, aber so gut kann kaum einer sein, wenn er mehrere jahre lang kein quake spielt. obwohl ich auch der meinung bin, dass das n�tige skill-level �berbewertet wird, um "so" zu spielen. vor allem, wenn kane schon so viel pro-erfahrung hat....

was hat der denn bereits so von sich gegeben? dass er von q3 kommt? ich habe mir die demo mal angeschaut. der scheint ein sehr erfahrener dueller zu sein. sofern er kein aktiver deutscher spieler mit fakenick ist, wovon ich ausgehe, da eigentlich nur k1llsen auf diesem niveau spielen k�nnte, er das aber nicht ist, w�rde ich eher noch auf SteLam tippen, weil der schon des �fteren aus der inaktivit�t kam und ich ihm diese ergebnisse zutrauen w�rde. kane ist schon viel zu lange raus, SteLam hat ja sogar noch aktiv pk gespielt.

er soll gesagt haben, dass t7 f�r ihn ne neue map ist. und da t7 schon paar jahre in quake live ist, schlie�en die meisten daraus, dass er sehr oldschool ist.. der typ unter mir behauptet, stelam h�tte quake live nur am anfang gespielt. und t7 gabs nicht am anfang von quake live, sondern erst n jahr sp�ter oder so. k�nnte deshalb stelam sein :D

Get real people, it's obviously not someone who hasn't played in years. Not enough dm6 played to be smoke, so must be noctis.

Edit: Should it not be noctis it's either a cheater or czm (living in switzerland he might have picked up some german skills and he's known to like to troll/fakenick). There is no other german-speaking player except killsen who could put up those results, 100%.

"really good" german is pretty hard to learn (that is what people say, sure i personally dont know)!
also there is "slang" or abbrevations you use.
nothing you can really learn except you live here i think.

it's common knowledge he works in Switzerland for his postgraduate aka he already has a phd. Also you're right about German being hard, but if there's one western EU language that suits a math person, it's probably German. Then again, there are soooooo many exceptions in German.

As far as I know czm works at EPFL in Lausanne, which is in the french-speaking part of Switzerland.

Even if he were in the german speaking part, as mentioned above, it's virtually impossible to write flawless german after two or so years, (even if you have a phd in math..). I know some very intelligent people who live here for 20+ years and are still far away from being able to write e.g. a letter without mistakes.

When I said "far away" above I was exaggerating. But flawless german after 2-3 years, I don't believe it.

I know a student who speaks german very well and nearly without accent after only 2 years living here, but writing is a differnt story. He makes a lot of mistakes even with very simple sentences.

Thinking about it, I also know one who is dutch. In fact I thought he was german for a long time because his german was so good.
So I guess it's possible if their native language is similar to german.

But from southern/eastern europe, as I said above, I don't know anyone who is close to flawless after 2-3 years.

its possible. my brother taught himself in under a year. when he went to germany when he was 15 our relatives were convinced he had lived there his whole life. he mastered a regional dialect and everything.

some people have a knack for languages.

he also taught himself spanish, french, and dutch.

My teachers always told me it's much, much easier to learn languages when you're still young. Still, under a year is quite impressive. That's not just a knack for languages, but also a lot of studying ability.

For weapon usage it's better to check qlranks profiles, because it's duel only stats compared to global ql stats.

What can we gather from the qlranks profile comparison:

As previously mentioned, thror is playing higher skilled opponents. The weapon stats are somewhat off, especially the railgun usage, but can 1) be the reason of 2)? Who knows.

Interesting fact: SG and MG usage is the exact same (2 digits after the comma even).

EDIT:
Checked out fraze' player profile for a counter check and interestingly, noctis and fraze are closer to each other than any of them is to thror.
