Person 1 logs on with Agent account on Computer 1. Person 1's friend Person 2 logs onto Computer 2 with yay0 account. Person 1 plays Person 2. They get bored with it and stop after one game.

Simpler still, person one has two computers and does the same procedure minus Person 2.

Is it really that hard to imagine how that could happen with a douchebag like Agent involved?

Also, the VERY FIRST game played by yay0 was vs agent, 297 days ago, followed by a 200 day gap, agent stops playing much at that time, and yay0 starts playing and beating lots of top level people.

Aside from someone with a little bit of backbone that has actually seen agent (what's the guy's real name?) playing with yay0 account speaking up (Ash, you out there?), this seems like pretty good info to base assumptions on - namely, that agent and yay0 are piloted by the same real-life douchebag.

I really don't think evil is yay0, at least not all of the time. If you supposed that evil was yay0 100% of the time, evil would have played 103 duels in the past two days and probably would have had very little sleep at all while still performing as well as he did in the 125 FPS 1/4 Finals.

there is a guy from here Brazil that is very skilled beats everyone but don't go to a tournament, so if you have such an amazing skill and beat everyone why shouldn't you go to a tournament? it is saying if a good tennis player have such skill and never goes to a ATP Tournament, and earn money from it. actually that scene is really obvious. looking at him through wall then looking away quickly only to realize you made an obvious mistake and pretend to "walk into him".

I don't know what you want to say with "proper", but the whole point of language is to communicate. and english has established itself as easy accessible even for non-native speakers and just works quick and easy to connect a lot of people.

even if a language is perfect, it is completely useless if it takes 100 years to learn it. missing the point of language = communicate.

English is a pretty ambiguous language due to its grammar. The relatively large vocabulary does remedy this problem somewhat, but you still can't express yourself precisely with nearly as much ease in English as in a language like Russian, which still uses cases and other complex grammar. That was all I wanted to say.

That's just a myth that some languages are "better" than others. it's like saying one bird song is better than another, they're all functional for their purpose, plus you can't help but being heavily biased depending on which your mother tongue is.

Chinese for instance has very simple grammar, yet has other means of expressing nuances in meaning etc, like tones, that don't exist in Russian.

Finnish and Hungarian have more cases than Polish, which has more cases than Russian, which has more cases than German, which has more cases than Swedish. Does this make Swedish the "worst" of these languages?

I asked him mouse/sensi he told me mouse ie3.0 sensi 1. This means 100+cm 360.

Think it was either troll or he uses crazy amount of accel but then again i dont see any accel in his mouse motions.

Also i didnt saw anything suspect in his play, very relaxed mouse motion/aim, standard and clean decision making etc. Accusing him of cheating realy show how in bad shape the QL community is because lets face it, the more there is players in a game the more it is hard to reach the top, if QL had like 1+ million players the top 10 would be 10 time better than any evil/cypher/rapha etc.

theres no direct accusation of cheating, just a funny moment i threw out there for debate. then again, in a game with absolute zero protection from cheats why would anyone be inclined to trust people with 1 week old accounts. either way, you can blame the lack of anti-cheat before you throw it at the community.

i was under the impression there had to be some sort of ac, i guess there was pb but that is always a joke. the auto detection of files is a mouse and cat game. new cheats will be detected by id and then new cheats will be made once again.

the whole screenshot thing has been done in the past by other ac's such as eac. it usually didn't work well as cheaters always found a way to get around it.

sucks the ac isn't taken more seriously.

there used to be pb over 3 years ago, after that the floodgates for cheats were opened with all that qlhook and whitelite crap.. later they implemented some hidden ac, which is now useless to say the least and all the same retards that were already banned now play the game again.

Okay so i watched him play vs evil today on dm6 and toxicity, he was having some little difference in his aim and movement (read worse movement and worse aim).

His sensitivity today looked to be stupidly low, he said he uses sensi 1 with accel 0.1 on an ie3.0 which is 400 dpi, roughly 100+cm/360.

I still think this is kinda troll but you could definitly see he was strugleling with movement because of such a stupid low sensitivity, wierd thing is that yesterday his movements where faster and more reliable, maybe he just change his sensi often who knows :)

Felt like it was a different person today watching back at yay0 vs cypher yesterday.

sensi 1 accel 0.1 at 400 dpi wtf...

So i watche evil yayo today, accel makes him inconsistent i feel, because with such low sens and low accel if you are not doing the movements at the speed you are supposed/used to then you barely move. He indeed is an old school i think, he is good at ztn and dm13.

This is really fucking interesting. I have a few ideas who he is, but absolutely nothing definitive.

I have my doubts that it is Malcolm from OSP. His skill level is insane for someone playing for only a couple of weeks. His lack of opposition in OSP for one would make it unlikely he could develop those skills. His map knowledge on QL maps like Cure and Sinister is excellent. And where has he been? Why hasn't he played tournaments before? Why haven't we seen NO demos/vids of him before?

So if it's not Malcolm, who else? He's probably Russian since he speaks Russian and his country flag is Russian. Given his skill level and let's assume he's not cheating or sharing an account, it has to be either Ash, Agent, Evil, Cooller or Pavel.

It's definitely not Agent since his style is completely different. It's not Ash for the same reasons and he has played yay0. It's not Evil since his aim and movement is different and they have played each other.

Then it comes down to Cooller or Pavel. Pavel is said to of got married so I doubt he has time to play and he doesn't seem like a guy that would fake an account. Coollers movement to me seems a lot more 'snappier' than yay0. yay0s seems slow, sort of like strenx or poni.

Then there is someone cheating. Yay0s aim isn't the best, so I doubt he's aimbotting. He maybe wallhacking, but I haven't seen any evidence of this and I would assume someone would have found some by now. And he could have an item timer. But having said all this, I'm not sure if a wallhack or item timer would help enough for someone to be at yay0s skill level anyway? Having a wall hack wouldn't help you in your combat skills.

I've thought about shared accounts. Having watched yay0 a bit now, I don't think he is. His style seems to be continuous through out all his games I've seen him play.

So to some it up. My best pick is that it's Malcolm from OSP. Although I have about a 10 percent confidence in that and I'd gladly change my mind if new evidence comes to light.

it would be very easy to judge by the demo i think. he has the most unique playstyle and also his mouse control would be easy to identify.

But he could have easily practiced on the maps and then play a few with an alt. It's not that hard to imagine that's true. I remember seeing dem0n learning some new maps, it took him very little time to be able to play it really well.

1) Put the demos you want to watch in the quakelive home/baseq3/demos/demoname.dm_73

2) Open any quake live game, practice or online (don't need a subscription just as xinnn said)

3) Type in the console /demo demoname

Or you could have clicked the link in #258 and watched it on youtube.

Or you could have spent 5 minutes trying to work out how to use wolfcam.

Watched the povs of yay0. He's not a cheater, but he's not an oldschool player. I'm an oldschool ru player and i've never heard of yay0, nor malcolm. May be he's a mid oldschool player (209 - ...).
My "oldschool time" is much earlier. Played with shadzy, loyd, jibo, temp, lord, unkind, cooller, death (b100), ult1m, lexer, nobap, pow3r etc. U can ask cooller if he knows this guys, coz cooller is the elder oldschooler that's still active (since 2000-2001). So he might know this guys.

Pavel's defensive rockets are a main-stay of his play style and, I would think, someone might have noticed them by now? I only have seen him in the 2 videos above, so I don't know. Has anyone else mentioned such a thing? I figured it would be a dead give away that it was pavel, if someone noticed really great corner rockets. Especially on a map like dm13.

I've watched a few demos now. Quite frankly I'm extremely impressed. He moves too quickly around the map to be "walling" . Great mouse control and movement, positioning is also very good.

The only real question mark would be a timer, but that is marginal, in my opinion.

I think if he is legit it's a faker training for quakecon maybe? He knows the new maps pretty good + let's not forget after all that weapon balance, mouse feel, jump height, movement is different between osp and ql - time is needed to adjust even for the best players and he what? i watched the demo, you were rushing him with SG all game and playing very bad to be honest. I mean you literally just ran around with your forward key stuck down and shotgun out and tried going for style points. I think it's Agent now, yay0's very first duel was against him 250 days ago and ended 0-0, and it wasnt used again after that until 30 days ago, also agent hasnt been playing, and he recently lowered his sens and has started hitting harder. :D (credit to naok)

that's what i thought about, he get banned, then yay0 appeared and when you see his stats and ztn playstyle you will know that possibly is him, but he must to change something cause his playstyle changed a bit and his acc is better. Well, i think agent is just trolling whole community cause he is the one who could do it. judging by the ping he is someone who lives near moscow. his playstyle doesn't match with agent's, who actively denies those accusations btw.

Why is the sound completely screwed? Looking at a vid with WH on without sound makes lots of moves look like WH.

Agent is a player who I almost never saw strafejumping through the map, this guy does the opposite. He almost never walks.

I still think its a player who has played QL at a competitive level for some time, he knows some spots where you don't have fall damage and strafe routes on QL only maps. You can't learn these with 100 or 200 games on the maps.

As you can see from the demo it's clear he saw that poni froze (connection interupted). Not sure how it's humanly possible to have such an accurate and fast reflex to this sudden warp.

Now I'm not a netcode expert, but I think yayo's own demos could show the situation even more accurately? Would be great if someone could get hands on his demo, but when I asked him to send me demos from our matches, he refused. (wonder why?)

my friend i have watched demos from a long time ago since i started to play FPS Duel, i got that crazy CD full of old demos of Quake3 and i watched that all! some matches i even remember without the need of the demo.(i just want to show here that i have some XP in it but older pro-players have more knowledge than me, ask fox for example). I watched the demo section a few times in wolfcam, at various FOV's it doesn't seem unnaturally fast to me.
He starts firing after the target jumps, at where he was, but that could also be displaying an issue with his own lag/backwards reconcilliation issues with the demo taker.

It's a slower flick than any flickrail or having to adjust lg to players in PQL.
The speed looks like something most could do on 25cm/360+ let alone lower.

I just couldn't personally condemn anyone on that one single clip :-/

That's definitely not what I'm trying to do, all I hope to do is raise some awareness that this guy could very possibly use cheats and I think tournament admins should force him to send out his demos.

Some time ago I accidentally ran across a couple of my demos versus yay0 (I didn't even know that I had played with him, because when we played I didn't know all this stuff about him and didn't pay attention to his nickname)
And in one of these demos I found quite funny moment:

I don't want to say that it is definitely wh, moreover my jump from the top level may be quite obvious due to sudden stop of tramping and railgun noise, but anyway it still looks very funny I think :)

I'll be the first to say that aero is really not a suitable map to find out if a person is cheating or not because 95% of the time you know exactly where you enemy is located and what's his next move going to be, which is usually either A or B

Well, if u check the old Strenx vs Pavel vod where ppl claimed he cheat, you'd probably find a ton of stuff which you >could< justify being wh, or just plain good decision making.

I saw this guy "adjusting" aim assist or something like that and using wh about when the account started playing and noone knew about Yayo, there was no doubt this player used cheat. Guess he have managed to set it up so its very hard to spot now... honest observation, i think u can also see in recent game sometimes hes lg tracking is robot like sometimes its a shaky noobs lg, just doesn't make sense for me. I also think this is true if u observe his bunny jumping.

yay0 is not agent.

In this recent pavel interview (by elder_ru) on Moscow LAN pavel says that yay0 plays for a long time and he had seen him in cpma times and that it's not agent's fake.

Oldest yay0 game on qlranks is 296 days ago: agent (2161) vs YAY0 (1200).
Second oldest yay0 game is 84 days ago. A bit strange no?

also, now that his ban is essentially up, agent is back playing on his "agent" account - 35 day break from "agent" to play on "yay0" account coincides pretty well with an "august league ban".

I don't expect agent to say anything, because why would he do that? He communicates mostly with Russians and I believe none (well can't be really sure) of his acquaintances ever accused him of faking as yay0.

Also the only "proof" of agent being yay0 is that "syncerror checked yay0's IP and it was the same as agent's" or something. To think of that - if that's really true and syncerror did that - why wasn't yay0 banned at least from 125fps again, as agent was already banned?

On the hand we have:
- yay0's account was registered in 2010
- he has different ping - lower - from agent, because supposedly he's from Moscow while agent is from Kaluga
- yay0's primary weapon is lg, he has different sensitivity and fov
- few known Russian players have seen/known yay0 since cpma times.
And watch agent's games at Moscow LAN - he's playing as he did before: high sens, average (if not below) lg. And of course there were people in chat with arguments like "well, duhhh, agent just mimicried to his usual playstyle again" which implies few months of training with completely different mouse/fov settings can be undone in one-two days.

I'm thinking right now that this is a massive "troll" from ins/zoot & company to call yay0 agent.

Isn't that pretty damning?

Syncerror has no control over 125fps, they are independent and can do whatever they want.
All of the other points are either irrelevant or subjective, except: "he has different ping - lower - from agent, because supposedly he's from Moscow while agent is from Kaluga". Pings can change, maybe his ISP has gotten better routing?
(Not that I really care about any of this. ;))
