announced that
nfinity eSports, in assocation with
Evo-G, will be hosting a
QuakeLive 1v1 tournament with a first place prize of $100. Signups are already open with notable players such as
Spartie and
Garpy among the list of competitors.
• The tournament is single elimination, best of 3.
• Either 32 player bracket or 64 player bracket, depending on signups.
• Each player removes two maps, and the upper seeded person picks his home map first.
• Only European players are allowed.
• Winner gets all the prize money, and this will be sent over Paypal.
• Fakenick isn’t allowed, if caught, you’ll be removed.
• The cup are covered by
Quake Live TV
• The head admin is Andreas ‘Fisk’ Johansson and the cup is held at
#nfinity Quakenet and no where else.
• Notify as soon as you have registered and signed up.

id Software has announced that a large update to
QuakeLive will take place on Tuesday 14th. It will be down for 3-4 hours from early evening European time (late morning US time). Once down for maintenance, progress updates can be found on their
Twitter page.
Following this update, any further modifications will be scheduled to be carried out on Tuesdays to create a sense of routine (excluding emergency updates).

SK Gaming has released footage of a presentation taking place on stage before the Quake Live 1v1 finals at
Quakecon.
The footage includes
Vo0 chatting up an unknown girl and another girl giving away a bra in exchange for a ticket for a prize draw. It also shows
Cypher being told he has to wait until it's all done as well as how the MCs have no idea about the Quake Live tournament that took place or previous Quakecons.
It's worth a watch so make sure you
check it out.

SK Gaming.
