QuakeCon 2014 will take place at the Hilton Anatole in United States of America Dallas from the 17th to the 20th of July 2014.

The PCPartPicker QUAKE LIVE® Capture the Flag Open will feature 4 vs. 4 competitions for up to sixteen (16) teams battling it out in a double elimination bracket and best-of-three games format. Players who come out on top will share prizes of $20,000, including $8,000 for the team of champions. Following the playoffs, the top two teams will then face off in a climatic showmatch where an additional $2,000 will be up for grabs.


Registration for the QUAKE LIVE CTF Open is from on-site sign-ups. Interested parties please visit our tournament area on-site at QuakeCon in the Wedgwood Foyer from 10:00am to 1:00pm CDT on Thursday July 17th for participation availability. Official rules are available in the downloadable PDFs below…

"The June 2014 Standard arena rotation is now online. On the first Monday of each month, we will be cycling the Standard arena pool. Rather than only having access to the same standard arenas day in and day out, each month we will now feature 26 arenas selected as playable for Standard-level matches.

Newly released arenas will remain exclusive for at least three months, but every other arena is eligible to be included in the cycle."

Welcome to June everyone the countdown is here we are less then two months away from QCON now and we are proud to have the QCON Quake Live Duel Masters Map Pool as this months weekly cup pools. So sign on up and play some cups. We have also of course changed up the TDM/CA map pools as well.

The Spring Series Finale info will be posted once we have players and the date confirmed. Look for it.

The FACEIT Spring Season Week #10 has finally arrived. This past week we saw Russia evil win his fourth straight event, his dominance has been established and well be beyond a shadow of a doubt if he wins this Sunday as well.

He easily made his way right to the finals where he beat Belarus Cypher in three straight games to play an absolutely perfect tournament again by not losing a single map to any of his opponents. This is a remarkable feat considering it is the fourth week in a row that he has pulled this off.

This week I am sure will be just as entertaining so tune in or you can already sign-up now! The cup starts at 08:00 CDT.

Unfortunately due to the studio being occupied and ddk hosting another event, we are unable to stream this week's cup. If anyone wants to stream, he's free to do so!


If you missed the Match of the week #19 - DEM0N vs. EVIL (Spring Season Cup 8), then you better give it a look you do not want to miss the thrills of this match.

I'm happy to announce our new movement guide series!

Before I get down to the nitty gritty bits, I understand that I'm posting on ESR at the moment. Many of you guys will already know most, if not everything that is being discussed in these videos. Please note that I'm not trying to teach you something new, but rather newer players that you may or may not be connected with. If you find these guides appropriate, then help us use these videos as a tool for getting newer players up to scratch with the complex movement physics of our beloved game.

Now, we currently have 6 episodes. Although it can very well be more than this, if anyone has suggestions for other guides then we are happy to create more episodes.

On Sunday 1st of June there will be a single elimination cup played on the classic QuakeWorld maps for players who want to keep going in the summer. Games are played best of three maps on DM2, DM4, DM6, ZTNDM3 and Aerowalk. Notable signups so far include Sweden Locktar, Sweden Locust, Norway Rikoll and Sweden bps.

To participate in the cup you need to register on the site and then also sign up for the cup itself. Before the cup you are also required to check-in to show that you're indeed available and ready to participate. Also join the #refragged channel on Quakenet IRC to ease communication throughout the evening.

Check-in opens: 11:30 CDT / Check-in closes: 12:00 CDT
Cup starts: 12:00 CDT / Cup ends: 16:00 CDT (estimated, depends on participants)

The Leagues work off of our Match Making System/Indivdual Challenge System. The Cups are completely separate from the Leagues and Ladders.
