That keyboard is nice, I much prefer it to mechanical keys :) I can't use it though because i use a Deathadder 3.5G and to turn the touch pad into a number pad you need to use Synapse 2.0, and i prefer Legacy drivers for my mouse.

So I'm not the only one who has a problem with Synapse 2.0 for the DA 3.5G then! Legacy drivers feel so much better right? Also you can tune everything better using them... And then let's not forget that you can't load your legacy drivers setting files if you use Synapse 2.0 and if you try to make the settings exactly the same it won't WORK. Not using my DA anymore but still they managed to even mess this up!

By the way if I had that keyboard I wouldn't install Synapse 2.0 even if the macros and touch pad won't work.. or I don't know, maybe I would tbh since I don't use a Razer mice atm...

Yeah i think Synapse is okay at 3500 dpi but it removes the 1800 dpi native step. You can tell because 1800 dpi on both Synapse and Legacy is slightly different in-game. Whether there is a slight delay or not could just be placebo, but it's enough for me to use Legacy.

Should really be a noise level warning when buying a mechanical, atleast for the blues..

You can even test it yourself. On my razer salmosa pro/sharkk 2000 dpi mouse I can do 135-140ms if I feel good.
WMO is a disaster. +30ms easily.

Yes, and in general terms pretty please.

i wouldn't know how to describe it, the material feels like the average ps2 controller but it grips more; you can put one finger softly on it and it will move, it isn't slippery.

It doesn't have an ergonomic design but hand rests naturally on it, if you got used to a right/left handed mouse it will feel strange in ur hand the first hours. The only con i found (due to how i hold it) was the fact that sometimes my ring finger would block m2 (i jump with m2 in quake) but i got rid of it pretty fast. It's also smaller than ie 3.0.

to me this is a perfect mouse for the average gamer like me, it isn't "overpriced", performs like a charm and it doesn't have lights or a fancy looking design, 400 dpi 9000 fps, you can overclock usb for it, discreet killer :D

m_filter 1 is one of the reasons i aim so well, it makes every mouse movement feel the same as before, so you naturally develop more precise coordination. Say, on your mousepad there's a tiny part that is rougher or a hair or the mouse feet are wearing down leaving each one with a different feel, that will FUCK YOU UP every time.

So to get 1 feeling forever, you use m_filter 1. It just feels better to me.

The only reason tox uses keyboard to fire is because he played Doom without mouse before Quake came along. He didn't know what to do with the mouse buttons so he just put +f and +b on them.

This was tested by that japanese site many years ago. The WMO is not bad at all, the salmosa is practically the same (0.005 of a second faster reaction time is irrelevant) and all mice have latency.

Again your example is wrong. CS nerds have been using the IME and 3.0 for decades. Both have the same hardware as the WMO including sensor, then the IME (called the 1.1) is practically the same as the WMO so most probably uses the exact same parts and with the exact same pressure to click, and I wouldn't be surprised if the 3.0 has the exact same insides as the WMO.

Pressure click = position finger right before the switch actuates,not possible on wmo.

Is there an easier way to benchmark this? I think it would be interesting for most players if the human aspect was removed. People would bitch about 50ms vs 10ms latency in game but if this was added to their mouse they would not blink an eye.

First up - some sort of "test" that is not in a browser and is not run by a human. Any ideas? Would a mechanical, computer operated "clicker" that knows when it presses the mouse button, at a defined speed, which can then compare the "start press" time and the click received time be suitable? Does it need to put some pressure on the button, enough to start depressing but not enough to actuate the switch?

How would you even set that up? If you put a motor to press hard as possible, what would you set the distance to the button?
It also doesn't show how your hand would be able to press the button based on the shape of the mouse.
Removing the plastic casing of the mouse destroys the whole purpose as well. (Click is shell + shape + switch + distance))

The whole point to do a reaction test with a mouse is to see if you can feel it out and click it fast consistently.

If you have multiple mice out side by side and know what reactions you get per mouse it should be quite simple. If you are paying attention your reactions are not going to vary more than 10ms.

On the WMO everyone I know is considerably slower. You can't feel where the button just about actuates. It goes in a lot and it's squishy.

Kinzu v2 is like this as well.
Mice that you can feel out well would be mice like: da4g, zowie ec2, g9x, ss rival, ime 1.1, etc.

While it is true wmo's buttons aren't the best, they aren't a hindrance by any means.

WMO has cheap 2-pin switches, while the other ones mentioned have the usual omrons.

Lol, let's think about this for a moment:
1. Previously, cYpheR was with razer for some amount of time and had to use inferior razer gear because of some marketing bullshit.
2. He switches to Titan, partly so he could use WMO or whatever again.
3. On March 12th 2014, Titan announce that they've become partner with Razer.
4. A month later, cYpheR shows us a picture with a went-full-retardrazer setup, even though it's known he's not a fan of it.

Apparently the Titan-Razer partnership came with some unfortunate requirements.

Razer Taipan is a piece of shit of a mouse. I have this mouse, it has tons of input lag and smoothing, and the lift off distance isnt nearly as good as the WMO. Cypher should just switch to the bst beta mouse he won a while back or to the WMO again.

His aim is not gonna be as good until he switches back or starts using his bst beta mouse at 800 dpi and lowers sens.

I hope Cypher reads this. Also he should get a 120hz screen ASAP :)

Different gliding, grip, feel, sensitivity, sensor, button click, scroll wheel, etc, etc. It takes like few weeks to get your aim closer to your previous level(if you didn't use total peace of crap before) and month+ to be on your previous level and surpass it. Yes, I do switched few mouses and maybe the difference is that I have good aim and am talking about hard shots... not for lolca and jumppad same 9% lg of most who post opinions about mouses here on esr.

I switched my mouse a few months ago from a shitty to a semi-decent one. I changed sensitivity and only took me a few hours of gametime to adjust.
I guess it's a matter of the mice you switched from and to.

If you give many of the Razer haters on ESR some Razer gear (DA 3G, 3.5G, 4G, Abysus, Salmosa for instance) and some of their keyboards and mousepads they won't refuse it you'll see, also they will spit on Razer on ESR because it's so trendy and they need to make others know they are the same so that they can get karma'ed and loved by the stubborn close minded consumers of ESR who will always say it's shit even though they never really tried all of the gears.

They will say it's bad even though they never tried it (cars, motorcycle, music players, amp...) It doesn't matter whether the build quality is crap or not, they just don't know if it is personally because they never personally tried and made an opinion with their own experience. If these people who are concerned get Razer gear for free they won't refuse it (and let's assume these people usually accept presents w/e it is because they think it's very nice from you if you gift something), unless they are too stubborn and stupid, why would you refuse a present? Cypher plays for thousands of dollars every month. It's plainly stupid to accept a $100 gift (nothing) with the condition that it has to be used when playing and knowing it will mean losing thousands because his skill will necessarily lower, as it has for almost a decade every time he switches to razer mice.

That means cypher is yet again using razer equipment because he is obligated by his contract, not because he wants to and not because he wants to accept that conditioned gift willingly.


Personally I wouldn't accept razer equipment under that condition, even though I don't earn anything from playing. Reason is I prefer my own equipment, mind you better in every single piece of hardware razer offers, and spare cash is not going to change that.

For me Razer is shit because I've tried 3 different mice of theirs throughout the years and had problems with all of them. And I cannot see how in any of those cases it was user error. (Boomslang right mouse button stop working after 2-3 weeks, no answer from their support. Years later try diamondback, half the time when the computer started the mouse wouldn't turn on. Apparently some motherboards didn't provide enough power through USB for their precious mouse according to them. And Abyssus, jitter issues, unusable especially in Windows.) Yes, apparently there are people that have had great luck with Razer products and swear by them. But for me and my money, Razer=shit and will always equal shit.

So I can't tell really the feeling you guys must have there when it comes down to compare before and nowadays, although I have a pretty close idea I guess, because my parents have the same speech (with some exceptions though!)...

yea besides evil's ping advantage people should know that evil uses a crt too. I don't get why he doesn't get one himself or atleast a 144hz low input lag moniror because it would easily pay itself off after winning a few faceit's and also he would have closer games with evil and not learn bad habits like playing defensive all the time.

New monitor with low input lag + bst beta mouse he won at 800 dpi with 500hz + cut his sens in half because hes been using 400 dpi so far + non shitty huge razer keyboard = Cypher winning everything.

true, his hardware is far from optimal and the combo you described would undoubtedly be a great improvement. :]

but people tend to forget (ignore?) that evil is playing him on 5ms ping, which at that level of play makes quite a difference in close combat situations (rl & plasma anyone?).

not that i'm trying to take anything from evil, he's a monster, but it seems that many times, when a close fight with a little-to-no health survivior goes down, cypher loses it by almost nothing and little by little it's eating away his confidence and building up frustration. :]

I hear he uses 75hz? Not sure if the same in faceit too.
