"Hi everybody! My name is Aleksey. Beginning with February 2013 I am sponsoring the 125 FPS QuakeLive League (http://125fps.com) and provide almost all of the prize money from my own pocket. Why do I do this? Because like many of us I played the first Quake and even Duke Nukem)) on lan during my childhood. Time goes by and I’m a grown-up man now with all the obligations that come along with it. Yet still I want the Quake community to flourish and reward me and all fans of the game with great matches, tournaments, reports etc.
When there are no tournaments with prize money the interest of players and fans decreases and that’s what I’m trying to combat. I’m sure I’m not the only one. The community has a lot of adult, successful people, as well as many young people who fell in love with the game.
I want to ask the community to help build on the foundation I and the 125fps team have laid and increase the prizes in the coming leagues. Fundraising is nothing new and is employed to collect funds for all kinds of events. I’m sure that many of you will be happy to chip in a sum that’s admissible for yourselves and even happier to follow the tournament you yourself made a contribution to!
Below are various ways to donate money for prize funds of 125fps.com leagues.
The reputation of the 125fps leagues guarantees for a fair distribution of funds. I myself will continue to contribute about 31500p(~1000$) every month.
I propose the following prize money distribution (31500RUR + donations)

15% of the donations will go towards the organization and coverage of the league, in particular recruitment of streamers.
Additionally I suggest limiting the prize pool of every league by 3500$. If there is more than 2500$ worth of donations the surplus funds get transfered to the next league. The biggest donators will be listed below every leagues prize pool (voluntary).
The fundraising will start with the announcement of the next league."

From Monday to Sunday we have our daily FACEIT Cups with several Duel levels, Clan Arena, CTF and TDM, plus a different Premium Cup on every week day!

On Saturday we have 3 Premium Cups with higher points prizes. These points can be exchanged for prizes, such as Razer gear in the FACEIT Shop.

Got bored Saturday afternoon. Decided to scan my demos since my last movie in May and threw together a short movie. Whole process took about 6-7 hours thanks to the awesomeness of QLDT and wolfcam. The Song is Coda by God Is An Astronaut. Frags from duel, tdm, ctf and some ffa tierslumming as a bonus.

Prague TDM LAN UPDATE #4 (218 comments)

With two days left until signup deadline (10.9.2013) and two weeks until the lan (20-22.9.2013) here is the one of the last updates about the lan.

I'm pleased to announce that

zoot and

insan3 will take care of the onsite coverage. I'm also sure that they will take advantage of the cafe studio and provide great stream for all of you who are not able to attend.

For those coming by train/bus/aeroplane I have great news.

shebin (oldschool Czech quaker) offers to do free taxi service from the train/bus station/airport to your hotel or the cafe place on thursday evening and friday morning. As far as I know, he can take 4 people and their luggage and also promised to have some Czech beer for the travellers as a welcome present. If you are interested, please query him on IRC (sh @ #lan-prague) as he is going to create a schedule of arrivals and handle it all by himself.

As for 120Hz monitors I can't say I have good news about those. So far I was only able to get confirmation about 15 monitors. I'm still trying to get at least one more, so let's hope I'll have better news later on. Here's the list of people who will bring their monitor(s). Considering that some people might arrive later or leave sooner, getting at least 3 more monitors would be better option. There are 3 monitors available in Netherlands, but I wasn't able to find anyone who could bring them. If you know somebody, please let me know.

Unfortunatelly I didn't receive trophy/medals yet, so I'm not able to show you those.

At number eight we have arrived. The Summer Season is slowly drawing to a close, with the Finale set for 29 September. However, this week we will have your Sunday Cup fix of course, starting at 07:00 CST. Sign-ups are currently already open.

The FACEIT Summer Season will be played each Sunday for the coming month, where 128 players can join and play for $125, as well as points to qualify them for the Finale.

Commentary this week will be provided by our host,

Daniel "ddk" Kapadia, and we see the return of

Duncan "Thorin" Shields. The stream will go live on FACEIT TV at 07:30 CST.

ClanBase has opened the signups for its fall season 2013. The signups are open until the 15th of September and will feature the following cups:

As of today it's now possible to sign up for the Quake Live tournament which will be held at

DreamHack in the end of November. Quake at DreamHack is a modern DreamHack esports classic and which we are very proud to be able to host once again. The tournament will feature 32 players who will battle for the 100 000 SEK prize purse. All the best matches will be live streamed in HD via Twitch. All games is played on tournament PCs in a tournament area and the final will be played on one of the DreamArenas.

The tournament structure will be slightly different compared to the previous versions of DreamHack. More infos regarding the tournament structure will be announced at a later stage.

The final question is: will the reigning DreamHack champion

evil from team 102.DeliberateMurder be able to defend his title?

"The September 2013 Standard arena rotation is now online. On the first Monday of each month, we will be cycling the Standard arena pool. Rather than only having access to the same standard arenas day in and day out, each month we will now feature 25 arenas selected as playable for Standard-level matches.

Newly released arenas will remain exclusive for at least three months, but every other arena is eligible to be included in the cycle."
