Welcome Captains and Players to our QL CTF Nationscup. With signups behind us it's time to start playing! Groups are now up, with 13 signups it is divided into 7 and 6 nations. Top 4 of both groups advance into the playoffs which will a single elimination. The first games are planned to be starting in the upcoming week. Final date being for them to be played is March 18. The standard time every week for games is Sunday 20:00 CET. Make sure you schedule your games to avoid problems. You only have 1 wildcard! Round 5 is spread over 2 weeks to avoid problems with Nations who are attending @ TheParty in Eindhoven.


Update: First matchweek delayed by 1 week so there won't be any problems with HoQ, Draft and possible TDM NC all at the same day. [eXodus]

Problem? Come to our IRC channel #JeeQL and we will (try) solve them! Good luck & have fun to all players and captains.
We will try to get streams for as many games as possible.

After a long hiatus we decided to whip up another show. This time we once again invited QW superstar Norway Rikoll for a chat about current events.

With EQL starting their 15th. installment using a whole new concept for the 4on4, a brand new 1on1 tourney called Thunderdome by Russia VVD and United States of America QuakePhil and a new ongoing series of 1on1 tournaments by Australia dirtbox over at Besmella we had plenty of material to discuss. This show: Defcon-5's recently released QW documentary, EQL15, Thunderdome, Besmella.Quake

You can watch the show @ twitch.tv/quakephil in 2 parts (spank you so much xsplit for making quakephil's life so hard!), or alternatively download it as mp3 @ Slackers.dk. Hopefully we can start to pick up the pace and at least try to do weekly or bi-weekly shows, following up on some of the action in the QW scene 2012.

Hi there! While I cannot tell you happy news about Xonotic 0.6 being released (YET, we had some difficulties, but expect it in 1-2 weeks), I'd like to inform the audience of ESR about the ending of the first online Xonotic 1v1 tournament.


To get some general idea how Xonotic plays in competitive 1v1, check out the VoD's of the finals. I suggest you to find a very comfy chair, grab some b33r, gather some nachos and pop some corn, because there'll be plenty of entertaining gameplay (over 100 minutes) in those videos! Have fun watching the VoDs, and keep an eye on Xonotic!

Edge of the Earth is a new quake 3 freestyle trickjump movie, directed and edited by Hungary rEnk.

I've been working on this project since 2010 august. I had these demos from various players on my hdd very long time and I decided to use them to a new movie...Then I started to create custom fx-scripts for q3mme. I created some preety ones and I started to create this video. About a year ago I almost finished and released it, but I stopped just before the end. I didn't edited anything to it until 2011 december and the project is almost lost...But it's finally done and I hope you will enjoy the movie.

Thunderdome round 1 has started! The deadline for all divisions is March 5, 23:59CET. It was hard work to seed everyone into the divisions, but master blaster (also known as Russia VVD) made sure that all the slaves did their jobs.

Spontaneous live streaming will take place around 2400-0400 CET (6pm-10pm est) if any games are happening at that time and I'm not otherwise predisposed. We may get a more official streaming schedule as the semis and finals start getting scheduled, but in the meantime follow my stream to get notified when it goes online.

* Regular - 30 players
* Advanced Rookies - 28 players
* Rookies - 22 players

The free Quake 3 clone Open Arena got an update. A long list of new features and fixes was released, including Mac support, two new singleplayer maps, 13 new maps, changed player models. Open Arena is based on Q3A GPL code and contains classic Q3A gameplay modes and is compatible with some Q3A modifications.

Movie maker par excellence France sharpe has graced us with a new movie, featuring players from Finland xentorium.

Hi everyone, this is a movie I have been working on since Dreamhack. frs asked me to do the xentorium TDM movie and I was thrilled to do it. I edited everything but he helped a lot on resuscitating the old-school era of quake for the movie. I hope you guys enjoy this, and stay tuned for some next movies to come in the spring!

It is with great pleasure that I bring to you the release of Unrealnorth 2 by Vlad. The German movie-maker has been busy preparing his latest release for us...

UnrealNorth 2 has been a long time coming, with various movie-makers stepping up to do the title then losing the motivation or opportunity to continue. Vlad has had plenty of both and so is the one to finally bring us this epic movie for our great site and community. Many thanks to him for his time and effort!

Around 80 demos have been used from 30 players of the UnrealNorth community.Vlad will be taking a break from movie-making for a while, so enjoy his latest creation until such time as he decides to make another.
